Cabaye is expected to play. Deschamps dropped him from the French squad due to lack of football. lol!

No Kolo for this I would imagine after being stretchered off Sad

Not sure if Skrtel is fit enough to come in for him, if not I imagine Wisdom will.

Sterling in for Aspas may be another change but not too sure on that either.

    I would take a point.

Atmosphere will be boss on Sunday. Unfortunatly I don't think we'll be taking anything more than a point, we haven't shown vunerability at the back yet but there's always a chance for that at OT with Skrtel coming in.

If we can only create a few chances at Villa Park then our creativity will take a serious beating at OT. If we can play like we did the first half against Villa and try and retain more poessession we stand a chance.

I even reckon arsenal are more likely to win. At home (so less likely to concede a penalty), derby atmosphere, no Bale, new players for spurs still settling in etc. That's got easy ca$$$$$$$$$$hhhhhhh written all over it.

We've got 34 new players to gel into our squad. Its a derby game and Walcott et al tend to step up for them. At home I think you're favourites. I'd like to think we can't get rolled over like the last two trips to the Emirates with the Legion Of Doom we have in midfield. If we are to win will be on the quick counter, no way we will dominate possession with so many still new faces getting up to speed.

Who fucking knows what team we're going to field this Saturday. Never in the history of Spurs have we signed 7 players in one transfer window, let alone ones that aren't Justin Edinburgh / Michael Brown quality but ACTUALLY QUITE GOOD.

I'm going to give it a go, assuming the new boys signed today are eligible (don't know if they are):

    -------------Lloris

    Walker---Vertonghen---Kaboul----Rose

    -------Capoue----Paulinho

    Lamela------Holtby-----Chadli

    -------------Soldado--------------

Subs: Dawson, Naughton, Dembele, Sandro, Eriksen, Lennon, Defoe

Holtby played as number 10 in the u21's V Wham on Wednesday, MOTM performance and rather awesome goal. Wouldn't be surprised to see him picked off the back of that. Too early to chuck in all the new boys, think Lamela is best placed as the one to come in first. No room for Siggy or Townsend (played Sunday/Wednesday) on the bench, shows the potential depth of the squad now.

And we wouldn't have won game two without Townsend,
perhaps we won't win against Arsenal without Lamela.
AVBs task to select the best possible team and match day squad,
Lennon's been out injured. Likely to have to ease in and fight for his spot.

Think we'll see the following, though it wouldnt surprise if get both Sandro and Capoue out there to be more solid. Most new boys in the stands imo.

    Lloris
    Walker, Dawson/Kaboul, Vertonghen, Rose
    Capoue, Dembele, Paulinho
    Townsend, Soldado, Chadli

subs: Friedel, Naughton, Dawson/Kaboul, Sandro, Holtby, Lamela, Defoe

stands: Gomes, Chiriches, Eriksen, Sigurdsson, Lennon
    not eligible: Assou-Ekotto, Adebayor

I'm not saying put Townsend in the stands.

Basically the thing here is.. I just find it funny that certain posters on here would not have a single criticism aimed at Lennon.. For years.. I would say yeah he's a threat, his speed creates problems but his shit end product will forever let you down. But no no no, he was the best, should be starting for England, end product doesn't matter, it's the strikers fault... Now all of a sudden he's not even good enough for the bench.

Very revisionist Coops - I defended Lennon's lack of output in his teens/early 20's in the expectation that it would eventually improve. You don't have to be a Beckham-esque crosser to pile up assists, Walcott is proof of that.

Now he's 26, his stats have plateaued and I've admitted defeat. Still better than N'Zogbia though.

In other News, Brentdon Rodgers has claimed that is "Important for the world of football that Liverpool are up there [in the top 4]"

And they get touchy when they are accused of having an attitude of entitlement. Erm

You don't need to be Beckham.. But you need technique. Lennon never had close to enough technique. Dribbling technique yes.. Everything else, nope.

Walcott always showed signs of having good technique with crossing and shooting..

Two important things if you want to be a winger.

City distinctly unimpressive. Hull doing well, surprisingly good passing for a Steve Bruce team and had the better chances.

but then a goal comes. Negredo.
