    A. In 1990 there was an absolute stonewall penalty not given when Goycochea fouled Augenthaler earlier. Everybody referred to the actual penalty as a make-up call. I think the Voeller penalty call  was neither a dive nor a penalty. There's a gray zone there.

    B. If you keep harping on about the Germany penalty against Portugal, please refer to the foul on GOETZE and not Mueller. In my opinion it was clearly a penalty and the only surprise was that the defender didn't get a straight red according to the rulebook.

    a. it was a grey zone because the player was German. if the player was latin american, it would have been a dive.

    b. it was as much a penalty as Marcelo's and Cavani's.

No, I have a cheating issue.

    1954: dope

1974: losing on purpose to avoid Brazil/Holland/Argentina

1982: rigged game against Austria to kick Algeria out.  Embarassed

    1990: dive

     <Ale>

If Brazil had that list of cheating in WCs, we would already have been labeled the biggests cheats on earth.

1974: losing on purpose to avoid Brazil/Holland/Argentina Proof?

1982: rigged game against Austria to kick Algeria out.  Embarassed Germany won their group. What were they supposed to do? Keep attacking when they're up 1-0 and risk not winning the group? The rules needed changing, obviously.

    1990: dive See above.

    29.00 for a Nig win, 9.00 for a draw and 11.00 for a Nigerian red card...hmmm

    What a feckin game again.

Any other world cup, this would have ended in 1-0/1-1/2-1

    Not this one though.

so Nigeria gonna be the first (possibly only) African team through. probably won't give France too much trouble but at least in Musa they got a potential matchwinner..

African teams also had the easier groups I must admit, nontheless Nigeria play the best football I've seen so far from an African team. Shame they have that shitty Mikel.

Lavezzi suits Argentina much better then Aguero.

Great to see top players like Messi, Neymar, Robben, RVP, etc turning up for this World Cup. That is what we need.... a little bit of star power missing since Ronaldo and Zidane left the scene.

yeah they much better balanced with him than Aguero. Aguero+Higuain+Messi just doesn't work as front 3, one has to go and Higuain is probably needed for the physical presence, even if he hasn't done much in the games I've seen.

    line up vs. usa

everything speaks for schweini, khedira is just facking garbage, he adds nothing, i really don`t know what he is doing in midfield

the medias expect this, there won`t be surprises though, only schweini

    ------neuer
    boa-merte--hummels-höwedes
    -----schweini-kroos-lahm
    özil-müller-götze

hmm özil is a bit annoying, has he really only the left foot, he looks so predictable on the flank, always cutting inside

Why is gago starting and Perez on the bench, he and Fernandez are the primary season their defensive transitions are so shit.

Villarreal and sevilla have better Argentine defenders, yet they weren't called up.

Gago is as slow as fuck.

True, though it can work both ways. France and Colombia fare well without their star.
