     ok

Pogba is a great individual but Sissoko does what his best for the team just like the others while Pogba always seems to want to do things his way even if it is counter-productive.

Never! what a fucking detour though if this is the case, from W-Africa, across South America going past Drake Passage, (im assuming this was before the Panama canal was digged) the cost would have been enormous. No wonder the WIC went bankrupt!

It was much cheaper (and faster) to go there by ship than by land.

Yes, that is true, but the amount of people that would have died, would make it hardly any worth the journey. No, me thinks they went to Panama to use it as a hub, and from there with the boat to Equador. Me thinks the Valencia's were pretty strong in those days ok

The big difference between Latin America and North America is that in the latter all black to semi black people are considered black. This creates unity and for the elite blacks(usually very light skin and up to 75% white) it pays to harp on slavery etc. They profit from it.

In Latin America they have a more nuanced view on race. Rather than being black or white you can be things in between. With this social system you tend to have every one wanting to be white or at least not identified as black. The opposite of America. So complaining about being a victim of slavery would suggest you are black/mostly black which gives you no social benefit in Latin America, in fact it is worse.

You're right, SP. Neymar and fat Ronaldo, for example, declared that they don't see themselves as blacks. Racism in Brazil is more veiled. People are racist here (even the blacks) and still think they are not. For them, to be a racist they should hate blacks and want them to die, but they may say openly they wouldn't want their son to date a mulata/black and still think this is no racism. But it's beginning to change. Black movements are growing in Brazil and the number of mulatos who identify themselves as blacks is also growing.

That's what Brazilian sport TV was talking about right now. They even showed flashes of the game. It seems both teams were booed by the Spanish for a long time during the match.  Embarassed

All this big show to kick ALGERIA out. And Germany may face Algeria in the 2nd round, and all the talk will come around again.

Recife is pretty much under water after heavy rainfall for almost a day. Hope the pitch will be in decent condition. Surely they must be prepared for this since June/July is rainy season there.

Yeah, roads are flooded, teams might have hard time getting there. US fans reporting a dead body on the side of one of the main roads, guy was hit by a car, and has been there for a while.

Brazilians are never prepared for anything.

In our flag it's written "order and progress". Forget it. The reality is "improvisation and progress if possible".
