Makelele for Chelsea, Deco for Barcelona.

Messi, Ashley Cole, Essien and Lampard all did well also.


Strange, that as good as Boulah was in the last game, he was the probably the worst player on the pitch this one.


Also anyone notice Ronaldinhio after Deco scored? All the team huddled to embrace Deco and Ronaldinhio purposely waited on the outside of the group so he could have his own special embrace and the cameras could do endlessly replays on it.

Otherwise you're right, Essien was excellent. Better than Lampard, wonder goal or mishit cross or whatever, and much better than Ballack. Saying that, Barca were a bit shit in midfield.

A bit depressed today.. but like Kasnani said, we weren't horrible yesterday (like in London or Madrid) so we should still qualify if the team gets its act together..

You'll qulaify, all you have to do is beat Werder at home and if you can't do that then you don't really deserve to go though...

Hmm, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and I think I'll fall for the Lyon hype for now. Man. Utd. too if they keep up their current form.

Found out? The man has won back-to-back doubles in his first two seasons. There is no manager in the game who can rival that statistic. And all that on a shoe-string budget.

Playing the way we are maybe but I'd like to see us continue like this a bit more before I start predicting us to win it.

Also we do need some more depth, mainly in central midfield and whoever we get maybe be cup-tied anyway.

I'd be happy with a semi final and have more of a go at the league.

2) Barca
3) Milan

Then teams like Arsenal, Man United, Liverpool, Inter, Madrid, Bayern, Valencia and Lyon all have a shout.

Of that pack behind the top 3 I fancy Madrid to go far this year.

Capellos lost it in Europe IMO, esp if Madrid face us - they're done for

I think Barca will qualify.

They'll beat Sofia and should at least get a point against Bremen.

The only spanner in the works is if Chelsea rested all there players against Bremen and lost but they need something now to top the group.

Hope not, but they more than likely will, like inter might not but probably will.
I really dont rate ac chances after seeing there last few games, can see them getting hammered as it goes. duno about arsenal

Barcelona vs Man utd would be such a glamour tie.

The last time they played each other the two group games ended 3-3 twice.
