Yeah he won't get many chances this season, with Zambrotta also able to fill in in midfield. It'll give Iniesta more playing time too.

And the rumoured price tag is 12 million euros, which is just amazing! Sell him now for that price befre Bayern change their mind!

Great news, I wish him all the best.

Regarding Anderson, I doubt we will see him any time soon. We don't have a non-EU open.

Anderson is Portuguese isn't he? Anyway, I think Ronaldinho and Marquez are eligible at the end of this season.

I thought he was a Brazilean.

In any case I don't see us signing anybody just now.

Rijkaard needs to get the team back on track, and not focus on integrating a new player.

Yeah there won't be any signings until next summer barring injuries, huge bids for an expendable player, or some sort of dispute.

Official website confirms that an agreement in principle has been reached with Bayern Munich for Van Bommel. The details are still being worked out, but Marca says it'll be 6 million euros rising to 7 if Bayern qualify for next year's CL. They initially wanted a loan deal but we turned that down.

I'm happy with that, good luck to him.

Too bad it wasn't the 12 million first reported. Saviola just needs to be sold now, cause I don't think he will get any playing time if he stays.

Well, it's perhaps a good thing to get stuffed by a league team before the league starts. I think we were physically and mentally tired - 4 games in a week or 8 days is NO WAY to go into a league season with pressure on to repeat the doblete. As for the opposition, Seville showed us what it's going to be like when we play the top teams this year! as long as FR and the players take it to heart and go to Balaidos as up for it as Seville were last night, a worthwhile , if bitter, pill to swallow. Visca el Barsa. And yes, sell Van Bommel now.

Ronaldinho not called up for tomorrows match. The press is claiming from an injury but the real reason is rijkaard left him out after his terrible display in the european super cup and for missing a training session. Looks like this could be the start of something good ... Very Happy

    That's what "El Rondo" said...

As Karpin said it's a load of bollocks made up by frustrated madridistas. Always trying to destabilize Barça in the stupidest ways possible.

Poor Madrid, they have nothing to do but make up shit about Barça. Instead you could've concentrated on signing Cesc,Kaka and Robben.

I think you should worry about your own lot at the moment, considering the pathetic showing at home.

We will teach you madridistas about attacking football, with Madrid becoming more Italian than the Serie A in the 80's.. Madrinaccio lol!

It'll be good to have Ronnie out so he can ponder over his contribution a little bit.

So what's the line up going to be? Messi on the left and Giuly on the right? Gudjohnsen in?

    Will Marquez be punished?

The press is speculating that Messi will be on the bench and Thuram playing as CB.

bloody daft you buy a decent CB and then leave your best DM on the bench (Marquez) and also imho you´d be better with Eto´o as the main striker with Gudjohnson on the left

I don't think Márquez will be returning to the midfield any time soon. And I actually prefer to see Edmílson as DM as Márquez doesn't seem very focused at the moment.

As for the front 3, then you'll see Eto'o and Gudjohnsen exchanging positions all the time. The main reason for Eto'o being on the left is that he is more mobile than Gudjohnsen.

The Press isn't speculating, as far as i see it they are demanding the fallowing.

    Zambo for Bellitte
    Thuram-for Marquez
    Guily-Messi
    Guddy/Savi-Dinho
They are also say Motta shouldn't be a starter for barca.
That Thuram is better tht marquez in defence.

    Over reaction after the lost.

    ---------------------Valdez--------------------

    ---Zambo-------Puyol-----Thuram------Gio

    --------Deco------Marquez------Xavi----------

    ---------Guily-------Eto'o-------Messi/Guddy

Subs.Jorquera, Oleguer, Márquez, Motta Messi, Iniesta and Ezquerro

Edmilson is injured i think, but if he isn't him for marquez and Marquez for thuram.

messi completely dominated the madrid 3-0 for 60 mins until he got tired and ronnie took over and made the headlines, and rooney v over rated too imho. excellent player but still a lot to do to really prove himself incl. his temperament which messi doesn´t have a problem with

Rooney minus his temperament would be a considerable bit better than Messi.

Messi is a pretty player to watch but he still is lacking a lot more to his game than Rooney is
