    lol

How low have these mandriles fallen, a draw at the Camp Nou and they think it's a massive achievement.

If we lose tomorrow I can see the Cibeles full of mandriles celebrating.

biggish typo! But anyway, pelillos al mar and all that. I wish I could feel a bit more confident about Barsa-Valencia tomorrow. In my local porra I've put 7-2, but I'm not sure Inhiesta is playing the through ball early enough sometimes, and Cañizares is notoriously flukey - balls seem to cannon off him like a Jimmy White training session. Still, I've put my money down and I'll bite the bullet.
By the way, did you read Morientes' comments that he didn't like English football cos the refs don't protect the players enough? Great to see a Spaniard at last getting the hang of the English sense of humour!

Are you sure that Iniesta will start in?

I think you are right in that tomorrow will be close, and that Valencia isn't a walk over. It will be a good test of form especially before the matches against Chelsea.

Did you guys hear about the Barça socios moaning at the the club in the asamblea about the speaker talking in catalan lol

They claim not all Barça fans are from catalunya and dont understand the language and they should speak in spanish, the guy who was doing most of the protesting got a standing ovation by the other socios.

I didn't hear about that.. But the whole Eto'o scandal is even more ridiculous.. At a post match interview, some reporter at the back of the room asked him something in Catalá and Eto'o couldn't hear enough to understand it, so he asked him to repeat it in Spanish.. Of course some people got really upset and took it as if Eto'o was refusing to answer questions in Catalá.. Eto'o then had to go out and state his never ending love for Catalunya and the language and pledge that he would learn it as soon as possible... IDIOTIC..

    @Oleguerisntthatbad

Don't fall into the trap of these fascists. Do you think that a French player shouldn't speak in spanish because he's not from here? Typical fascist attitude from the mandriles, couldn't expect less from them.

We sign players because they are good and if they speak in catalan or spanish it's fine. Rijkaard after the espanyol game spoke in catalan and he got cheered by the whole camp nou, but before Ronaldinho spoke in castellano and he got cheered as well. You see the Catalans aren't a bunch of intolerants fascists like yourselves.

Don't get me wrong I am not against Catalá but Eto'o can't be expected to talk it well. It is a bonus that of course shows that he is well adjusted to the community but it is much more important that he plays well.

We don't distractions from ultra nationalists who fell upset when a player has problems understanding.

I agree with you man but you got my point wrong. LSR is saying that the players that aren't born in Catalunya shouldn't answer in catalan, it's as if Emerson,Diarra and the rest of the foreigners shouldn't speak in spanish because they aren't from Spain.

I'm not saying they should be forced to speak in catalan, they should speak in the langauge they are most comfortable with, and if they are good enough to speak in catalan then they should even if they are from mars. I hate the utlra nationalist idiots who don't talk to you if you don't speak catalan, I would send them to madrid with their fascist comrades.

When you consider the circumstances, our draw in Camp Nou last year was almost the equivalent of a win. We were playing 10 vs 12. The ref gave you a joke of a penalty, he gave RC a red card for making a face, and turned down a good penalty appeal against Ronaldo. Not to mention, he kept giving Barca free kicks on the edge of the area after the worst diving onslaught ever seen from Deco and Goofy. Thankfully Jaws wasted every single free kick by either hitting the wall or sending it to the stands.

Anybody know our line up for tonight?

    Looks like it will be:

    ----------------Valdés------------
    Zambrotta-Puyol-Márquez-Gio
    --------------Edmílson-----------
    -----------Xavi----Deco----------
    -----Giuly----------------Ronaldinho
    ----------------Eto'o--------------

subs: Jorquera, Sylvinho, Oleguer, Iniesta, Gudjohnsen, Messi and Saviola

    ---------Villa----Morientes-----
    Vicente-------------------Joaquín-
    --------Edu----------Albelda-----
    Moretti--Ayala----Albiol--Miguel
    ------------Cañizares----------

subs: Butelle, Navarro, Angulo, Reguiero, Viana, Gavilán, Silva.

(Albiol is doubtful after a knock in training)

I think it is a bit worrying that we only have a single midfielder on the bench, but our attack looks strong.

I think he'll start the team you posted. Personally I would prefer to see Iniesta instead of Xavi, Thuram (he's MUCH better than I thought) in the centre of the defence with Marquez and Puyol right back (because he's been poor as CB recently). Upfront is perfect as Messi has been poor, even though he scored two goals.

I think Puyol's days as a right back are over.. I can't even remember the last time he played in that position.

With Giuly on the pitch I would probably have gone for eiter Thuram or Oleguer as right back since Giuly doesn't cut in as much as Messi and the right back won't be needed as much to provide width.

He has been doing alright.. scored the winning goal against Celta. He still needs a bit more pace and sharpness so that he can participate in the one-twos. There is some speculation that he might start tonight instead of Giuly because of his strength, but I doubt it.

He has come off the bench twice in the league and once in the CL.

i think we should play eto'o he track back better than Dinho and Valencia strengths are down the flacks. With eto'o playing has a with-drawn striker which will force the Valencia defense to come up and mark, and that will enable eto'o and Guily/Messi to cut in form the flacks behind the defense. Pretty much who the front 3 played against arsenal

The players you sign should learn the language of that country, which in this case is " castellano " not catalan, dont forget catalunya isnt a country mate. Using your logic players have to learn 2 langages. Players who sign for Valencia are not forced to learn valenciano same goes for players in galicia and so on. Etoo done well not to answer questions in catalan, and the socios who protested about the asamblea were right too, Barça seem to think that all cules are from catalunya and understand catalan lol
