I actually thought he was one of the worst players on the pitch in that game bar a 10 minute spell where he mishit a cross

he isn't a central midfielder. he has two players constantly behind him doing the midfield work for him so he I can't class him as one im afraid

but you are right. he simply doesn't have the ability to impress me in a game. it's absolutly impossible for him no matter what he does

I'd rather he didn't bother.

He doesn't have good enough technique to play midfield for Milan IMO.

Kaka, Pirlo, Seedorf are obviously technically great.

Gattuso is less obvious but although he can't strike a ball well he is much better than people make out - he has decent enough 1st touch and is good at playing pass and move.

If the Milan clubs want a lampard type player, they should go for sneijder who is younger and has far beter technique too- he's a better version of lampard .

No that was a fine goal because he meant to put the ball in the top corner. But if a player who earns as much as Gerrard can't score from 10 yards, you'd be pretty angry (although we've all seen him miss from 10 yards before )

Unlike Konchesky who had men to aim at, Lamps didn't have this leisure, and you can quite clearly see that he meant to score by his footwork. He just simply outfoxed the Barcelona defence.

These are the excuses you Barca fans have to cover up your goalkeeper, who is so agile that he can barely jump 6 inches off the floor?

I have never known a player to put in a cross 1/2 a metre from the goaline, when none of his team mates are anywhere near the 6 yard box.

As I said he lost his head, players do odd things when they are stressed.. it was a fluke, like Dinho's freekick against England back in 2002..

I also believe he meant it. He is a guy who never pass or cross when in the 18 yard box, he always shoot even from the most ridiculous angles.

it honestly has nothing to do with being lampard although you won't believe me of course. look at his body shape and look at his head. he has no idea what he is doing. it's a simple knock it back across the middle and see what will happen and what happened is it went in. there is certainly no element of skill involved

Look at the clip and you can see that he has no clue where the Barcelona defenders are, where Valdés is or whether anybody has started to run into the box..

He only has a brief glance at Drogba to see whether he is close, and then proceeds to turn and cross hoping that whoever is on the right wing has made a run towards goal.

People just can't beleive that someone they beleive to have no footballing ability could do such a thing, look how unshocked it was when it went in
