I am still sure that he is looking at Drogba.. remember you had a player out wide on the right at the start of the move, and it is only normal that Lampard would assume that he would have made a run into the box.. He wouldn't have been to see whether he was there from the angle that he is looking, not to mention that the box is crowded blocking his view further.

Lampard isn't the most gifted players around but his shooting technique is very underrated here.

Someone with poor shooting technique can't execute some of his long range efforts- his goal against Lazio comes to mind.

Please don't compare his passing to Gerrard's. Flumps couldn't execute that pass to Bellamy last night in his wildest dreams.

His passing is closer to Barton or Nolan's. So is his all-round play.
