Re: Juventus
With the squad at the moment, Juve will be competiting for a UEFA Cup spot.
Inter, Roma, Milan, Fiorentina will start as favorites for the Champions League places. Much then depends on what Lazio and Palermo can do in the summer markets, and whether Sampdoria and Udinese can improve. Plus we should also state that clubs like Torino have really underachieved this season, Juventus have adjusted to playing Serie B opponents and hardly excelled there, they have had some really shaky periods, and i am not convinced by Deschamps although they have some excellent young talents.
Much also depends on how Juve approach the summer, what the objective at the highest level is; consolidation or conquer, they are right to give their young players a chancel, and need to be shrewd in the transfer market. If they lose key players, then maybe that will hinder them, but they have a healthy budget and remain the biggest club in Italy in terms of domestic success and fanbase, so attracting players to the stature of the club isn't difficult, but they havn't the lure of champions league football, nor are they likely to for another two seasons at least.
Next season everybody in A will be determined to beat Juve, they have to readjust again to a different league, i think it will be a difficult but important campaign for them, if everything goes well i can see them challenging for 5th/6th place, but otherwise they should be aiming for the UEFA Cup spots and maintaining that position until they have a squad in place to challenge for the champions league.
One thing is for sure though, the league will be stronger and much more atmospheric and competetive with Italy's 'biggest' side back in it, Juve's fans have been excellent this season, hopefully they will bring Napoli and Genoa up with them to give some excellent derbies and colour to next seasons championship.

Re: Juventus
Frosinone 0-2 Juventus
Juventus have moved closer to their mathematic return to Serie A, after Marcelo Zalayeta’s brace against Frosinone. The Bianconeri went close after three minutes with Pavel Nedved, whose left-foot shot from the penalty spot ended wide. The home side however was not intimidated, despite the following attempts by Mauro Camoranesi and Zalayeta, who failed to finish a perfect assist served by the Argentine-born midfielder. The world champion was again close to breaking the deadlock, but he failed to net Nedved’s cross. No changes were made after the break, and the Bianconeri immediately started to attack, with Nedved one of the most dangerous players on the pitch. Deschamps decided to replace Raffaele Palladino with Alex Del Piero and Juventus immediately took the lead with Zalayeta, who took advantage of Camoranesi’s unintentional cross, heading the ball into the net. Juventus continued to push and managed to double their lead two minutes into stoppage time, again with Zalayeta, sealing Frosinone’s third straight defeat and maintaining their lead clear at the top of the table.
Scorers: Zalayeta 58, 92 (J)
Frosinone: Zappino; Carbone, Antonioli, Pagani, Bocchetti (Lacrimini 89); Fialdini, Perra, D'Antoni, Lodi; Margiotta (Di Nardo 69), Castillo (Dedic 69)
Juventus: Buffon; Zebina, Legrottaglie, Boumsong, Balzaretti; Camoranesi (Venitucci 66), Marchisio, Nedved; Marchionni (Chiellini 80), Palladino (Del Piero 57); Zalayeta

Apart from Inter none of the other clubs have had the consistency in their performance & that has resulted in a clear run for Inter & the huge points gap that Inter accumulated
Juve has been a very consistent side (previous scudetti included) & now the major factor is the kind of squad they can build up. Going by experience IMO they will do a good job of it.
Put these points together & I really believe that they can go for the 2nd or the 3rd. I agree that this will be very tough but then not unachievable by a side like Juve

Zalayeta nears Juve exit Thursday 3 May, 2007
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Juventus striker Marcelo Zalayeta has revealed that he is frustrated with his lack of playing time at the Stadio Olimpico.
The Uruguayan international, who joined the Bianconeri from Perugia in 2004, has not been given many chances to shine, appearing only eight times this season and scoring four goals.
“I would really like to stay here, but there is not enough space for me,” said Zalayeta, whose brace on Tuesday sealed the 2-0 win over Frosinone.
“I would like to play more and with continuity. With my physical structure it isn’t easy to reach fitness if you play every once in a while,” added the Bianconero.
“I don’t think those goals in mid-week can really change my situation, I do not get to play enough. I will wait and see what happens in the future and decide,” concluded Zalayeta.
El Panteron, who has always scored decisive goals this year when fielded by Didier Deschamps, is a reported target for Sevilla, who could include striker Frederic Kanouté in a swap deal.
Juventus are also interested in Zaragoza defender Gabi Milito and reports in Italy suggest that the Spanish side might lower its £4.2m asking price if Zalayeta were to move the other way.

4 million for Gabi Milito
IMO Zaragoza won't let him go for anything less than 15 million euros, even if Zalayeta is included.

Re: Juventus
Juve net Camoranesi boost Thursday 3 May, 2007
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Juventus are confident that Mauro Camoranesi’s season has not already ended because of injury.
The crafty winger picked up a right thigh problem in Tuesday’s 2-0 win at Frosinone which threatened to see him sidelined for well over a month.
However, the former Verona star underwent further tests today which illustrated that the strain is less serious than first thought.
Juventus medics are therefore hoping to get the Argentine-born wizard fit and ready for action in the space of around 25 days.
Camoranesi should therefore be available for at least the last game of the season against Spezia on June 10.
Italy boss Roberto Donadoni is also keeping his fingers crossed that the South American could feature in the two games against the Faroe Islands and Lithuania on June 2 and 6.
Juventus boss Didier Deschamps is set to use Marco Marchionni as a replacement for Camoranesi as the Old Lady search for mathematical Serie A promotion over the next few weeks.

Giuly opens Juventus door Wednesday 9 May, 2007
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Barcelona ace Ludovic Giuly has revealed that he would consider a summer transfer to Juventus.
The Frenchman is tied to the Nou Camp outfit until June 2008, but a lack of playing time means he is now considering his options.
“I would like to play more,” said Giuly, who has been relegated to the bench given the fine form of Lionel Messi.
“However, I see myself at Barca next year. I will only leave if the President tells me that it is better for me to go.
“If I were to leave Barcelona then it would be join an important club, like Juventus.”
The Turin-based Tuttosport newspaper leads with the Giuly link this morning given his relationship with Coach Didier Deschamps.
The latter bossed Giuly at Monaco in the side which reached the 2004 Champions League Final prior to the 30-year-old’s move to Spain.
However, it is unclear as to what kind of rapport the two men have given Giuly’s words in an interview back on March 23.
“Deschamps was my Coach and I respect him, but he is not my friend and hasn’t called me to join Juventus,” he said back then.
The attacking midfielder, capped 17 times for France, was left out of the 2006 World Cup squad when Raymond Domenech opted for Marseille’s Franck Ribery instead.

Juve to keep Marchionni Monday 14 May, 2007
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Juventus have told Marco Marchionni that they have no plans to sell him during the summer transfer window.
The winger has made a limited impact since his Bosman move from Parma last June which has led to speculation over his future.
However, the Italian international’s agent has this evening claimed that Marchionni is part of the Old Lady’s future for now.
“Juventus have told me that they have no intention of giving Marchionni away and the player doesn’t want to leave,” Bruno Carpeggiani noted.
“Although things can change quickly in the world of football, this is the situation which we presently find ourselves in.”
Marchionni has started to feature more regularly in the side of late given the injury to World Cup winner Mauro Camoranesi.
