Lampard is actually a great center forward. Some just question his qualities as a midfielder.

Ballack had a couple of excellent passes, created an excellent chance for Carvalho, won the header that lead to the second goal etc. pp.

He does play better in a real 4-4-2, although this looks more like a 4-2-4.
