For me its his agility more thanhis pace that makes him able to pass players and I'd argue that he'd still have this even if he lost his pace

Ronaldo's the same - his top speed isn't actually that great - just the initial acceleration & ball control which sets him apart. Rosicky for instance is at least as quick as both, and barely anyone says he has lightning pace.

James Morrison saw red for a wild lunge at Ronaldo in injury-time and Southgate feels the midfielder will learn from his mistake.

Southgate added: "He is a young kid and he will learn a lesson from that.

"We would all in that situation love to do what he did but you have got to be mature enough and hold your ground and make the right tackle."
