We're always better in the 2nd half.

Lampard best show up at some point.

Still a long way to go but I think even if Chelsea can manage to pull one back, I fancy Valencia to score a second.

    ok

And something's seriously wrong with Chelsea if Joaquin is having a good game against them.

Terry hasn't turned up tonight, which is causing some of the problems for Chelsea I think.

Chelsea aren't KO yet by no means, but Valencia have been closer to scoring goals two and three than Chelsea scoring one. Drogba's header was really good, and a better save by Cañizares. First time I see Ayala lose a jump ball. <Ale>

Well, it's not surprising...the way Mourinho tries to accomodate 4 central midfield players in the same team is beyond me -- it completely concedes the wings to Valencia and of course, that is where the danger originated on the goal from Morientes.

That was the Arsenal team from 2003/2004 - The one that went the entire season beaten and played some of the best football ever seen in England.

That side are a better match that Valencia at this moment.

    Chelsea can do it!

How is Albelda playing against the physical Chelsea midfield? Will be the best guage of whether he'll do well for us in Europe.

What I mean is, Arsenal can't shut a team down like Valencia can. Ok, one setpiece can change it, but if I had to put money on a team to hold a lead it would be Valencia over Arsenal every time.

    Joe Cole for Diarra.

I don't know what formation that is, 3-4-3 maybe?

Arsenal 03-04 were not better defensively than this Valencia.

I agree with kas on this. Also, from what I remember Arsenal were quite comfortable in the first half of the second leg. Chelsea came out and had a spell of pressure in the second half, but if we had seen that out we probably would have gone on to win. As it was Lehmann flapped at Makelele's shot, Chelsea scored, and had all the momentum from then on.

Not really. Valencia have just sat back and hardly had a shot on goal in 2H. They look nervous. Villa has been very, very poor and Silva almost toally anonymous.
