He looks really good, although he looks a bit greedy like a cross between Davids and Robben.

How old is he, were does he play and who does he play for?

Since Fey (his pimp) failed to answer:
Drenthe (19/20), LB/LM and first team for Feyenoord.

Fey could tell you even more.

Cheers DD, I will look out for him. Is he as good as Fey makes out?

What ever happened to Quincy Owu........ he looked really good in the world u20 tournament (the one with Messi and Mike) I thought he was going to be the new Robben, but he seems to have gone off the radar.

Is Kuyt MOTM in every game? Wink
No one's as good as Fey says, but this kid is special. He played in avery bad feyenoord team last year, so he hasn't been able to really shine there, and the headlines have always been about how bad Feyenoord were doing. Thus completely overshadowing every achievement made by anyone there.

Quincy is playing in Moscow. He was never that highly rated in Netherlands and for good reason - he's a one trick pony. He can do tricks all day but they're neither functional or effective. He has no end product at all and can't make a cross.

You know, things that actually matter in a match.

There are more technical players, but instead of being blinded by stepovers you have to look at what they're actually doing. People are still way too easily impressed most of the times.

Pirlo, Rossi is the only name Rez knows, so he will keep bringing him up.... thank god Lupoli didn't get selected in the squad, else the arsenal fans would have been hyping him up as well Wink

Jokes apart, I thougt Pazzini did everything very well, except that one easy chance that he missed. He has great movement, was winning and holding the ball well upfront, and was finding empty spaces to run into. Palladino had a bad day, specially in the finishing dept. I hope Pelle or Rossi start instead of Palladino, in a withdrawn role.

Motta over Raggi ok Thats what I have been saying since Potenza got injured!!!

Rosina did turn it on in the second half... he is coming back to his elements... hopefully he will show his talent in teh next game.

I guess the next game becomes a knockout for Italy and England... both need a win too stay alive!!!

So will Pier C, realise his mistake and play boy wonder Rossi in the next game?

Lita's penalty was awful, he had a nose bleed as he ran up to take it (not quite as bad as Riquelme vs Arsenal), but not as awful as that guy who ran up to him when he missed and cheered in his face. I do hope someone injures him in the next game.

The tournament has been wonderful so far, so many goals, so much excitement. Lets hope people actually try scoring in the next round.

There is no hype about Pazzini and Palladino, both have shown enough promise in the last two seasons, they had a bad day in front of goal, nothing that can'tbe put right on the training pitch and with more psychological preparation and Casiraghi certainly shouldn't be rushing Rossi into the side as an emergency reaction. I would much rather he played Motta instead of Raggi though, and defensively his midfield is set up purely to attack with Nocerino anchoring.

We had a bad game in front of goal, but we should take 6 points from our last two fixtures and that will be enough to take us through

lol! Yeah kuyt is always MOTM, even when he doesnt play.

Regarding Quincy, he did alot of tricks but I think it was a game against Korea (or another Aisian team) and he set Babel up quite a few times, and also went on some very good runs. I guess sometimes the opposition make you look better than they actually are.

I think players who run with the ball and do a few tricks catch everyones eye. As these are the type of players people enjoy watching.

The Rossi thing is kind of true (although I know of Aquillani) but he has scored more goals than the rest, this season and Italy missed about 4 clear cut chances. If Rossi missed those chances, I wouldnt be surprised if he was dropped.

I think we can afford to draw were as Italy have to win, imagine if both of us got knocked out in the group stage.affraid

Yeah, but Quincy is a head down kind of player.

Last I heard he was doing very well in Moscow playing an integral part for Dynamo, but there'no way he's in line to play for oranje like this. he went away much too soon. Simple as.

Tricks add some flair, but people (even some managers) are much too soon to disregard every other failing because someone can make a Cruiffturn, a Zidane 360, an Akka or some stepovers.
There's a place for everything -> watch when VDV or RVP pull off their tricks.

Quincy belonged to the "6 stepovers and pass the ball back" kind of players. He's talented alright, but he failed to develop other aspects of his game plus his decisions based on money have cost him his development too. Pity for him.
Why do you think he's playing in Moscow? €€€€€

Even though, Netherlands is not safe yet either. Belgium have just drawn Portugal and we need to get points from both teams. We can afford one draw, but we need to win at least from either. Portugal and Belgium are supposed to win form Israel so if either win by mor ethan one goal, netherlands is in deep $h!t.
Seeing as we're facing Portugal first (them needing a win too it could get very tough) we preferably need to win now, otherwise we're going into the Belgium match needing points, whilst Portugal can relax by whipping Isreal.

If Netherlands draw both coming games, I can certainly see us go out by goal difference. Therefore we need a win against portugal.

    cheers cheers cheers cheers

Excellent news, our senile coach finally admits he is better at LM then LB!

    So this proves Drenthe>>>>Friesland!!

Jonathan de Guzman posted something different...and it looked like he read the rules (I'm just repeating what he said, haven't read the rules myself).

If 3 teams end level, the matches against the fourth team will be forgotten : it's all about the results between those three teams.

So if we draw with both teams we need to make sure there's at least one draw without a clean sheet and we're through...

BTW did NOT check the rules, but in all competitions (country/club) this is the way it's decided nowadays. Would be amazed if it's different for this tournament.

A 0-0 draw v Portugal wouldn't be a bad result (IF Belgium beat Israel), because a scoredraw in our last match would mean both Belgium and us qualify.

A scoredraw v Portugal could actually be a worse result (IF Belgium beat Israel), because that means Belgium can only qualify by beating us in the last match (meaning we would be KO-ed).

There's 2 games left , its not my fault they are impressing.

If they beat the Czechs they are through.
IMPRESSING?! ARE YOU FUCKING BLIND?! GET SOME GLASSES YOU STUPID TWAT. They only had chances at the end of the game because of Italy pressing forward. Italy were the better team by far in that game, and deserved to win that! So f@ck off

Italy did play better , but Serbia were good at times they should have made it 2:0 when Zoran Tošić headed wide

Italy were guilty of missing clear cut chances

as I've said , you don't have to be the best to win .. Italy knows that.

Serbia coach Miroslav Djukić had said he expected Italy to allow his side to control the pace of the match while looking to threaten on the counterattack, and so it proved as the Serbs - the top scorers in qualifying among the eight finalists with ten goals in four games - pressed forward from the outset.
