Lose to Spurs and as Jose says 'Title race is over' .. unlikely to happen, but even a draw would be bad if Manchester United take 3pts against Pompey.

    what made me smile

John Terry - "Manchester United are doing well, there's no denying that, but anything can happen and they've still got to come to our place."

He might not know about the re-arranged game .. if Manchester United win their next 5 games .. the title is won at Man City .. so when they play Chelsea, they be Champions

Would Chelsea do a 'guard of honour' like Manchester United 2 seasons ago ? i know Jose has a lot of respect for SAF, so could be possible.

Maybe in terms of goal difference, but as Jose would say "mathematically it's still possible". If United have an off day and we win 8-0, we may just about be ahead on goal difference, and then if they lose their last game of the season... title = ours Wink Whistle

Anyway, back to reality. I think John O'Shea won the title for United with his goal at Liverpool. If I was a United fan, I'd certainly make him Player of the Season, and if I were a member of the Manchester Community Council, I'd give him the freedom of the city.

John O'Shea is nothing more than a cult hero.

He can play in defence, midfield and in goal.

Just got back very unhappy with SP playing one upfront, it was very negative and we should have gone for it. Mpenza played very well and need to sign him up asap.

    Laughing

    Naughty naughty Jamie. Razz

The schedule has made it next to impossible for us to prepare for this one properly.

I expect Defoe, Ghaly & Mido to all come into the side today. Lennon & Zokora really should be rested.

Need to win if we have any chance of winning the title (in all honesty, I don't think we do, but you never know. I remember United chasing and catching Newcastle when nobody thought it was possible - and that was 12 points)

Anyway, in midweek I don't think Ferreira, Bridge, Makelele, Wright-Phillips and Kalou will start, so that's almost half the team (instead we will play Diarra, A Cole, Essien (if fit - if not Joe Cole), Ballack and Shevchenko)
