The schedule has made it next to impossible for us to prepare for this one properly.

I expect Defoe, Ghaly & Mido to all come into the side today. Lennon & Zokora really should be rested.

    2-0 Chelsea Ale

Good job of damage Limitation ok.

I'm sure Paul Robinson would've recieved a firm kick up his (portly) backside if his name was Jerzy Dudek. That must be something like a dozen "speculative" long-rangers he's conceded. Otherwise we put in a very good away performance - Petr Cech is a monster.

Ferguson can moan about our poor schedule - but an evening game might've been too dodgy for security. United couldn't respond to the pressure, quite simply. Can't moan as they really haven't had to play after Chelsea in the run in. Edwin Van Der Sar is Over-rated. He fucked up for Juventus - and he's about to do the same for Man Utd. Choker.

Are Arsenal just going through the motions now? Tip us to do them next weekend. Bobby Zamora acheived the impossible of making a lob look ugly - only he couuld pull that off. Offside goal too Razz. Well done to the Hammers regardless.

Colin's Blades are going down. Thank God.

I dont believe you are still slating Zamora..who has more league goals than any of your other strikers Laugh

Which means if Zamora is shit...the rest of your strikers are atrocious...

Fantastically executed lob, 100% ONSIDE and gave us 3 points.

First to win at Emirates and last at Highbury...

I'd rather spend money on a goalscoring midfielder or a striker than a defender. Buying players that are capable of putting the ball at the back of the net should be our main priority.

Eboue will be an excellent back, he just needs to get rid of that c*untish attitude in him. I am sure wenger will take care of that.

I'm as stubborn on Zamora as I am on other players. A lob is meant to be an elegant piece of skill. I reckon it was a miscued volley that decieved Lehmann. Wink

Remember the goals I showed you TS? when you said he's never scored a goal that wasn't ugly...

I think Bobby-Z is starting to prove you wrong Smile

I can understand your bashing of Harewood and Cole...two players who don't always score loads, often lazy and waste talent due to poor application.

    BUT Zamora is someone who:
-Scores a nice amount of goals (10 goals and he hasn't played in a fair few games this season)
    -Works hard for 90 minutes
    -Shows passion
-Applies what ability he has to perfection (most of the time)
-Links up with creative strikers brilliantly, due to his vision and runs (look how well him and Tevez link up)

Chelsea, Liverpool and United are also interested in a right back this summer - can't see Arsenal matching their financial muscle and with Richards, Nelson and Alves likely to be involved in bidding wars Eboue will have to do. You poor things Sad

Better at defending as in makes some good blocks and on occasions I've seen him covers well when opposition are crossing from other side (something which A.Hole is v good at it must be said).

Lampard doesn't strike the ball that well IMO - he gets them on target but not THAT powerful IMO.

Sometimes if you can't break a team down with passing then a good hard strike with the laces on target can leave someone a tap in - eg Crespo v Man U in CL (Seedorf), Vucinic v Man U (Mancini) and now Taylor v Man U (Benjani).

Lampard strikes the ball well - its about the only thing he can do but you can't claim that he doesn't strike it well.

Sure, not every shot is a thunderbolt but he's scored some powerful efforts over the years and he also gets swerve on the ball which can make a huge difference

During the international weekend Freddy's son(what the fuck has he got to do with it?!) said that we're interested in Nelson and Luisao. When Roeder was asked about it he said that he wasn't interested in any of the players we had been linked with on that weekend, including Distin and a couple others. Rolling Eyes

Even his powerful efforts seem to be missing something. No matter how good he actually is I've never feared his ability to strike a ball from the middle of no where. His long shot ability seems to lack flair which always becomes apparent in England games.

Lampard's a great striker of the ball - he doesn't possess the absolute raw power of say, Riise, Gerrard, or Adriano - but the way he cuts the ball and get's it moving in the air is the one element in his game that you must credit.

    Otherwise, he's gash Wink

I'll keep an eye on this Nelson fella next time i see Benfica play. But as i said earlier, the defence is our least worry at the moment.I also hope Eboue sort out his attitude because he's an extremely talented lad.
