Ricardo Carvalho has done a William Gallas.
He scored a screamer vs. Spurs last season too.

Gallas' was in the last minute though, and Carvys wasnt actually that good a hit, poor defending and poor keeping, whereas Gallas' was absolutely awesome. Still- good fact cescCesc wrote:Ricardo Carvalho has done a William Gallas.

They've scored 24 goals in the last 10 minutes in all competitions this season according to SSN. I can't see why you have any hope left of them losing a tight fixture.

Carvalho and Vidic have probably been the best CBs in the Prem (Vidic before his injury of course)

Actually worried about our game at the Bridge. Because at Old Trafford Vidic pretty much owned Drogba in the air. With him out it's going to be a mismatch with Drogba vs Brown.

Starting lineup:
---------------Given---------------
Solano---Taylor---Moore---Carr
Milner----Butt----Parker----Duff
-------Martins----Sibierski-------
Subs: Harper, Babayaro, Gooch, Dyer, Emre
- Carr starts
- He plays Butt and Parker together again, idiot
- Duff starts
- Zog not even in the squad
If i was the Zog i would hand in a transfer request straight away and batter Glenn Roeder. Best outfield player of 2006, not even in the squad 2007.

Why do people just dismiss Rio's contribution just because Vidic contributions are more obvious. When I watch ManU, Rio seems to play as a second RB and is always trying to get ManU moving, especially as Vidic isn't a good passer. He's also been excellent defensively and scored a crucial goal against Liverpool. Rio>/= Carvalho, Vidic this season.

Ratings:
Cech 8 - Looked uncomfortable in midweek. Huge save from Mido in terms of importance and another from Berbatov.
Ferreira 6 - I've given him grief this season, but today he wasn't actually that bad. Didn't get turned or look out of his depth imo.
Terry 7 - Solid, but not a towering performance.
Carvalho 9 - MOTM. Not just for his goal, but for his tackle on Malbranque, for the fact that he brings the ball out of defence better than any CB I've seen this season, for the fact that he acts like a supporting midfielder, which allows players like Lamps and Ballack to move on. I gave him grief last season for the fact that he had moments where he would make very rash decisions. This season, they've been few and far between. Well done Ricky!
Bridge 7 - Bombed forward and looked solid in defence.
Makelele 7 - Looking better/fresher now than he has done in recent games. Held his line well and actually got forward on one occassion.
Mikel 7 - Will be the 'future Makelele'.
SWP 7 - Had Chimbonda on toast for the opening part of the 1st half. Showing signs of improvement in recent matches.
Lampard 7 - Improved on midweek. Nice pass out to Maka at the end. Set pieces let him down though.
Kalou 7 - Showing signs of improvement as well. Needs to improve his finishing though.
Drogba 7 - Not at his best, but did a reasonably good job.
Ballack 6
Shevchenko 6
Joe Cole 6

We weren't bad in defence or midfield, it was just up front where we lacked any spark.

Chelsea played a solid game throughout. Bridge had a great game! Do us a favor. Run some numbers on Bridge and Ashley Cole. Compare minutes played, goals scored, assists, goals team conceded when they played etc. I'm willing to bet Bridge outpplays Ashley Cole, AND that Chelsea perform better as a team as well.

easy choice with what match to watch puro
there is not really bad blood between arsenal and west ham.
should be a close match though west ham need to the points badly, and have done well in recent time vs arsenal.

So it's not like W.Ham-Tottenham, no love lost kind of game. I think I'll watch your game. So far so good although it's just Arsenal at the moment.
