'The Fields of Anfield Road' is a disgrace.

Re: De Ja Vu Liverpool vs Chelsea Discussion
Well my MOTM was Carragher.
Mascherano was good but its not as though he had too much to deal with as Chelsea only seemed bothered about lobbing the ball up to Drogba.
Carragher handlesd all threats superbly and gave 110% right to the last

Boring game, both teams played incredibly dull football.
Think there is a no 'right' or 'wrong' team, at the end of the day playing as badly as they did chelsea didnt deserve to go through.
But then again, liverpool have gone through playing badly too.
Expected more, was a chance to show the foreign leagues in europe what the english teams can do, and both teams failed miserably today.
Good luck in the final, play that badly again and milan or united will slaughter liverpool.
we make each other player badly by being so good.
it is also a skill
we similarly have made united , barca and arsenal look as ordinary this season.. three of the supposed most attacikng teams in the world

Like I said earlier in the thread. The kop pre-kick off and first 20 minutes = the best around. After that (during the match of course) = no better than the majority of fans.
Anyway, congratulations.

yeah once out of four games, and this was when we were in our worst run of form of the season after just going out of both cups.

At anfield.....Arsenal looked pretty good a few times against you, at old trafford it could have been a lot more than 2-0.

Not sure...they were awful in the groups stage and against Celtic. Their lack of creativity is ridiculous.
awful? a bit of an exageration though, not brilliant but then its all about peaking at the right time.
I think Milan have plenty of creativity but their lack of firepower is whats worrying since they mainly rely on the midfielders, in partucular kaka, on scoring.
Well, they couldn't score in three groups' stage matches and took more than 180 minutes to score against Celtic. Playing with a single striker doesn't help. I would like to see them winning, but they need to improve a lot.

I agree with that Coaty, this is how Pool have conquered all the great team two years ago. It is impossible to play against the defensive setup. Long-ball is inevitable.

I don't mean there's no atmosphere at Anfield after 20 minutes (if that's what the pool fans think), but it becomes a lot quieter (perhaps naturally), meaning the 'Anfield factor' becomes less and less of a problem for the opposition.

No Chelsea player deserved above a 6 IMO.
