    "Mourinho: We were better"

Maybe he has watched a different match. Liverpool were much better today.

Mourinhio is just not as good a manager as some make out. Thats not knee jerk, because they failed to go through. Thats because he must of been able to tell he had no drive in midfield at all and Lampard was doing nothing. Surely Essien would of been better in midfield even if they would of had to play Boulah at the back.

Motm - Makelele. The only player who used the ball intelligently. <Ale>

I disagree. His alignment towards Lampard is misplaced, but that apart he has done nothing to show me he is anything but one of the better managers in world football.

Maké had one of his better performances this year but he misplaced the ball badly on at least 3 occasions, which in his position is worrying.

But with your current team, you will never win the Champions league imo & for one of the best managers in the world with his funds that shouldn't be happening.

You clearly lack a true playmaker/attacking midfielder who can open up teams. If he thinks that Lampard can do this, then he's either having a laugh or blind.

They should have just tossed for who went through.

Boring game, both teams played incredibly dull football.

Think there is a no 'right' or 'wrong' team, at the end of the day playing as badly as they did chelsea didnt deserve to go through.

But then again, liverpool have gone through playing badly too.

Expected more, was a chance to show the foreign leagues in europe what the english teams can do, and both teams failed miserably today.

Good luck in the final, play that badly again and milan or united will slaughter liverpool.

Maybe, he's not done it since his first season though. Surely they need more than one player, especially in the centre.

That's an incredibly bold statement to make. I think 2 semis in 3 years (other one we went out to the champs) shows that we are very close to getting there. If one or two little things go a bit differently I am confident we can make it soon.

You're got some excellent players don't get me wrong. Your'e defence, goalkeeper, Drogba and DM's are superb. I just think there's a massive lack of creativity to open up the very top teams when it comes to the big games.

Imagine the rest of your team with a Deco or Kaka in place of Lampard...

Like I said about Mourinho, don't start saying things you'll regret. So far, we've had no arguments on the board, don't start one.

As for the fans, they outsung you 2-3 times during the match.

awful? a bit of an exageration though, not brilliant but then its all about peaking at the right time.

I think Milan have plenty of creativity but their lack of firepower is whats worrying since they mainly rely on the midfielders, in partucular kaka, on scoring.

Like I said earlier in the thread. The kop pre-kick off and first 20 minutes = the best around. After that (during the match of course) = no better than the majority of fans.
