Well either way some bloke in a suit has shafted us out of any good friendlies.

I am not denying the fact that the organisation of the tournament are first grade c**ts, it's just the fact that Ajax the club itself have very little to do with it.

Newcastle v Sampdoria (4th August) I bet Deano is a bit gutted they arnt playing Samp, but at least he gets to watch Roma.

Ajax will be visiting Scotland in July

Going to see Welling United vs Charlton Athletic tonight at Welling's ground.

Only £10 a ticket and it should be interesting to see some of the new Charlton players.

Last year Welling won, which was surely a sign something was wrong at Charlton.

Quality, do you think they will give Varney and Todorov a run out in that game.

That striker they signed from Dulwich and Hamlet will probably play.

Yeah, should see the likes of Varney, Todorov, Iowuma (sp.) & Weaver all play.

Not sure whether Young, Rommedahl & some of the others who are rumoured to leave will be playing though.

Went and it was $h!t. They let in too many people as it's Welling's major pay day for the season. Could hardly see the game.

Charlton won 2-0 but they only fielded a few first teamers - Varney (who scored), Todorov, Diawara, Chris Powell & Thomas.

Jody Morris was playing in midfield as he has a trial with the club, looked quite decent. However he was getting booed a lot, even by the Charlton fans.

Varney will do well for them next year. Did Thatcher and Weaver play ? Morris is a wanker they shouldnt sign him.

Aye can't blame Welling for doing that, even if it restricted your view. Its games like this that sometimes help non-League clubs survive.

Charlton should be looking at better players than Jody Morris IMO. Matty Holland said he is staying on at the club, why not loan a Premiership youngster for a season?

Yeah they have Holland, Walton and Faye plus arent they gtting Mullins ? even if Faye goes your right they should be looking for better than a Millwall reject.

Weaver wasn't there. Have to say I was quite impressed by Varney. More so than Todorov who looked poor.

Morris actually did alright but you can never tell against that opposition.

Yeah, I understand about Welling's situation. Some we're saying they could of made £50k tonight. They are also playing West Ham in a couple of weeks as well.

We should of tried to get seats really.

City V Valencia 4th Aug ! get in thats a great game, i hope they bring all their first team.

I think Spurs are playing tonight, it's on Setanta.

May give it a quick watch to see how Bent gets on.

Near Birmingham, I think just a little bit North.

Just to the east and maybe slightly south of Birmingham. It isn't far away from Birmingham at all though.

I always think that football and geography go hand in hand though? Coventry - rivalry with Villa (from the town of Aston in central/north Birmingham in case you didn't know .) And Leicester also in the midlands! I have to admit though. I only found out last season where Wycome was ....apart from that I'm sure I am clued on all football league locations.
