Bayern and Makaay Empty Bayern and Makaay

    Post by Ä Tue Jun 12, 2007 6:25 pm

as I have said many times, Bayern have to sell the Nederlander

    a) the Spanish speaking faction will be weakened

    b) Poldi will be able to play alongside somebody more team-oriented

    c) Bayern need a FOOTBALLER as striker

    HOWEVER

take a look at his stats

    http://www.welt.de/sport/article940771/Fuer_Roy_Makaay_ist_bei_Bayern_kein_Platz_mehr.html

    they ain't too shabby

apparently, Bayern would be willing to sell Makaay for 3 million Euro

    affraid affraid affraid

    top managers, them sausage manufacturers

    lol!

what about Makaay going to Bremen Question

chrissi would cry tears of joy; finally, Werder would have their very own Dutchie Biggrin

Bayern better hand over Podolski to us. It would be the best for everyone: Bayern don´t have to pay more than 10m, we have an acceptable replacement for Klose, and Löw and Germany will get an improved Prinz Poldi with a lot of match practice for the EC next year... Very Happy

    Agreed.

We'd make a top class striker out of him, like we did so often. The potential is there, but he will never live up to it below the Weißwurschtäquator.

Nope, Makaay will return to the real Heimat!!! So Werder, forget about an eventual swap! Just let Klose go!!!

    Poldi will NEVER leave Bayern

it would be an admission of failure + all those young compatriotes are in Munich

Bremen making a move for Makaay would be REALISTIC though

he could play in the CL as well as the bundesliga; he's got a lot of experience as well

I would certainly not say NO

It's a disgrace how Makaay is treated by the Bayern board btw. A player they once bought for a record fee, who has scored a ton of goals for them in all these years. I wouldn't mind to see him in Bremen either, he'd still score a bagful for us, despite his age. In our attacking system, he'd get the service that was lacking at Bayern often.

Well, he has to decide whether to go to a title challenging and in-the-CL team, or a UEFA cup/midtable team in Spain, because I can't see the top clubs going in for him. Maybe a good Forlan replacement for Villarreal? (if Forlan signs for us)...or a Torres replacement for Atletico. Or Diego Milito out, Makaay in, at Zaragoza.

    Let's see...

    Let's see...

I´ve read Bayern would sell him for just about 3m Euro...looks like a good deal for such a stingy club like Barca... Wink

Rolling Eyes What's wrong with such a profilic goalscorer. Although admittedly he hasn't got many years left but he could be a great mentor for Bojan and still would be a good back up for Eto'o.

I don't know what's supposed to be disgraceful

Bayern wanted to have Toni, which is jolly good

Bayern would be MAD not to go for Klose

    Bayern already have Poldi

ie, Makaay, who happens to be bad for Poldi as well, is surplus to requirements

    Bayern sind kein Altersheim

the one mistake Hoeness made though is to go public with Makaay's comment " IF Klose comes, I'm off"

    that was private

by hinting that the price would be 3 million they effectively expressed their low regard for him as well

    not Cricket either

The only reason why Makaay is (in your own words) 'bad' for Poldi, is becasue he's much better than him and more effective, therefore German football's own 'Knut die eisbaer' rightfully wouldn't get as much playing time.

The only way the 3th striker will see some playing time is if #1 isn't there anymore. Absolutely pitiful.

I don't get it, he's always been treated like $h!t, while he's a model professional: doesn't throw fits, doesn't demand money, doesn't disrupt the club atmosphere, does what he's told, get on with his job (very well). And is very loyal.

Is this how people are meant to be treated? Perhaps he should have been a diva too then!

Bayern have no reason to get rid of Makaay, and certainly not a legitmate one to 'drop' him like yesterday's garbage.
He's a vital part of Bayern, has been instrumental over many years and including last year when other strikers were shooting blanks, and now he's about to forced out in such a manner, while there's nothing to guarentee that his successor will be as big a succes as he still is. ove reven neede. Let Klose come over for free next season.

Meanwhile... is Klose really worth €130.000+ a week?!!! Hell no! Chew on that.
