The arrogance....I was thinking of a nice comeback with what Excelsior actually is better than Sparta but I couldnt think of anything.

Congrats on landing Giovanni van Bronckhorst. <Ale>

Your team is shaping up nicely, now you need to avoid Charisteas-like buys and you'd be alright.

that's what I call arrogance. I'm glad your on the way up again. But I joined family members to your Sparta's matches a few years ago when 'De Club van Rotterdam' hardly had any fans bothering to visit matches.

    Have you seen this yet?
    Real in talks with Drenthe.
'Real onderhandelt al met Royston Drenthe'
    27/6/2007 9 :40

Would be gutted, but if we get 25M for him it would/could make sense (especially if Real let him -on loan- mature with us)

BTW it's AS lots of their nearly done deals never materialise.

"Kampioenen" was a 1 off reaction after capturing our beloved Gio.

Spartans always sign 'SIDCVR' no matter if they have 3.000 spectators. Only Ajax fans agree with that, because they hate Feyenoord. Every neutral football fan knows there's only 1 big football club in Rotterdam.

Bull. Sparta is one of the most respected clubs in Holland. It's arrogance to say-->we're bigger, we are the club van Rotterdam. And when it comes to respective club, atmosphere(in a not hooligan way) and tradition Sparta owns Feyenoord.

We never sign that. There's no need for that. We don't have a Calimero complex.

Atmosphere when?, can't be during matches I've been to Sparta matches quite often. Must be duren Het Kasteelherendiner or whatever it's called.

No you sing SP ER MA Doh and then we clap, and then your owned.

We don't have the best atmosphere but it's a fairytale Feyenoord has. Atleast we can still behave, winning or losing. Something Feyenoord lacks.

Sparta is a club everybody respects in Holland & certainly not a sad excuse for a footy club like Excelsior, but DE Club van Rotterdam, no way Jose.

The oldest club yes by far. The most tradition certainly. Your fans also behave better than ours (but so do Excelsior's) But it takes more than that to be DE club.

Feyenoord won the European Cup, the World Cup, 2 UEFA Cup's, more league titles, we play in Europe 95% of the seaons, we have far more fans...

When is the last time you finshed above us in the league?

Well, it always be a matter of different values.

Sure, you had better results in the past and there is no point denying that but a club is more than just results.

If there ever would be a enquete around with that question I'm quite sure Sparta would win.

Anyway, no point in keep arguing.

We stick to the Netherlands Razz I really think we would win that contest.

It's not ment as a dig at Feyenoord and it's not a WUM attempt.

It's just that I very much respect Sparta, something to do with underdog, character and proper values ok

I do think Heerenveen would win an overall popularity / respect contest.

Ask me what the best known, most succesful or "best" club from Rotterdam is : I'll say Feyenoord for sure.

Anyway, its not all good news today.

    Patrick Allotey overleden

Very sad news. He was a really friendly guy & a great talent when he arrived. Pity he never made it to the top.

    RIP Patrick <Ale>

I am affraid the Feyenoord supporters will be dissapointed at the end of next year.... I hear them already spouting they will be champions again....! They can close the gap with the "real" top three and maybe they will finish in the top three again but more you can't really expect....

I feel sorry for the "second" club of Rotterdam.... Wink
