If it was up to me this would be my target shortlist:
    1. Smolarek
    2. Koevermans
    3. Afonso Alves

Tevez would be a bit disappointing , but acceptable.

You rate Ebi Shocked Allthough he could become usefull if we want to play 433 sometimes.

I think we should buy Zuiverloon, we could use an extra RB. Wouldnt mind Alves or Suarez either. Tevez would only slows Bruins progression. So lets hope he stays away from us...

Now the big question is...who is staying!!!

Yes I already rated him at Feyenoord & think he improved a lot at Dortmund, even delivering when his team were playing shite. He always gives 100%, plays smart, can play both wings and CF, knows his 443 & he's nearly 'Dutch', a true Feyenoorder & son of a Feyenoord legend.

Would be happy with Zuiverloon too. But if I've to choose a RB or attacking cover I would go for a striker.

Alves or Suarez would be great.

On Who's staying, hope we can ditch a lot of dead wood. Assumed Castelen would go, but he might change his mind. What's Boro compared to our current squad. If he'ld be going it would be for the money. Just hopes Royston does the sensible thing and stays for 2-3 years.

    Very Happy

Well, the NOS have been spot on lately. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

Maybe he watched footage of that Feyenoord - Spuds match in the 80s (and/or the next match in the 90s) when De Kuip filled with Argentinian flags & was going mad shouting "Argentina! Argentina!"

Ha! And all the good storys about Cruz of course!!! So...who will be the next tranfer then (cant believe we didnt signed anyone today)

    Lets make a shortlist
    -Koevermans
    -Alves
    -Boularouz
    -El Hamadi
    -Boateng
    -Tevez Biggrin
    -Suarez
    -Midget

Well Smolarek is more Dutch then Klose is German...but still think comes to short for the new Feyenoord team!! But BVM loves him, so he will insist he will come me thinks.

Drenthe should stay for sure, if not then a shitload of money!

    Players that should leave
    - Timmer
    - Lucius
    - Saidi
    - Pardo
    - Buijs
    - Bahia
    - Charisteas
    - Huysegems
    - Collen

Perhaps Hofs, but I always quite liked him. Castelen can stay of course but if he doesnt want to sign we should sell him as well.

    Loan
    -Lensky
    -Vincken

So in other words we need quality players for the bench as well!!!! And we need a second goalie. I think Ekramy will be our first? Much better then Timmer anyway.

Think Timmer is OK for the bench. Agree on all the others (we've far more talented youngsters), would keep Hofs, but he shouldn't expect to play.

On Vincken, Lensky, the better players from our Reserve team, the entire U18s. Would be a good idea to send a few out on laon. Trust Bert to make a wise decision on that.

Feyenoord fans have learned that high expectations often end up in disappointments. Most will be happy if we have a team to be proud of again & finish among the top 4.

Don't know about favourites, but I woulnd't be surprised if it happened (say a 25% chance).

Key could be De Guzman's development. Last season he was very disappointing, but he's still incredibly talented. Few experienced players around him could do wonders.

De Guzman has shown signs , if he improves .. well *happy days* for ze Feyenoord fans.

I've said Feyenoord are one of the top 2 , plus you have the advantage to solely concentrate on the league.

Emile Schelvis TV/radio Rijnmond pundit suggested him our our starting 11.

    His team would be:

    -----------------Timmer----------------
    Greene----Hofland---Vlaar--De Cler
    Buijs---De Guzman--Gio----Drenthe
    ----Slory------Makaay----------------

With the left wing open for Drenthe to surge forward.
He said Buijs probably wouldn't play because he could be leaving (hope so I love kids from our own youth academy with a Feyenoord heart, but he's a nutter, the more excited Curva Nord gets, the more nuts he gets & he's not good enough).
He also mentioned Bruins might play De Guzman out of the team because he's better at setting up others.

Think he's dead wrong on Buijs (as starter) and De Guzman, first of all he's very good at setiing up other players, he just drowned last year, secondly he's good at speeding up the game, not as good as De zeeuw, but he's really good at that.

Other news AD informs us GKL (Great Bold Leader/Liar) actually played a key role in recnt events, he asked his old buddy Rob Jansen to help out to create a renewed Feyenoord. Kudo's GKL, you did great, but it was time to go. Nice goodbye present.

That's an awesome team. With a top class left side!!

Its a shame you're not in Europe now - I think it might prove pivotal in keeping Drenthe next season.
If you were in europe this season, then you might/would get very far and let the young boys like Bruins, Slory, Guzman but in particular Drenthe get a taste of a european run with Feyenoord. Next season you'll get in europe for sure, but if they stay just to see "waar het schip zal stranded" then they might choose to leave - so not to avoid another dissapointing European season, if they happen to be out before October.

I wouldn't. He's used to a high salary in Scotland, for the money he would cost us, we could make sure 5 youngsters, who are more talented than he is, stay for a while.

I know quite a few feyenoord fans wouldn't mind having him back, but wondrer if they take my considerations into account.

Feyenoord will sign a couple of players of the following list:

    Karim El Ahmadi (FC Twente),
    Hedwiges Maduro (Ajax),
    Eidur Gudjohnson (FC Barcelona),
    Danny Koevermans (AZ),
    Georgios Samaras (Manchester City)
    Steven Pienaar (Borussia Dortmund).

Hope City is stupid enough to let Samaras go, will be a good player for us.

    Feyenoord wil Gudjohnsen of Samaras

    Gudjohnsen?

I think he'll go to England if he leaves Barcelona. Not just by his choice - will Feyenoord really pay 12 million euros for him, which is what English clubs are willing to pay?

No, but perhaps he has a Feyenoord clausule as well Biggrin Remember he played in Holland before, and Scandinavians always perform very good here.

So doubt if we pay that kind of money, but you never know!

We willen hem graag houden.”
