In other news: Schalke's Lincoln will move to Galatasaray, and probably be replaced by Insua from Gladbach.

Bundesliga summer transfers 2007
It looks like Magath has managed to lure Andreas Hinkel from Sevilla to Wolfsburg. Hinkel probably wants to improve his chances to be in the EC 2008 squad.
In other news: Schalke's Lincoln will move to Galatasaray, and probably be replaced by Insua from Gladbach.

Suspected Stuttgart, but nurnberg too? Koevermans will be off. There are a couple of clubs interested in him. Good player, even though he's still a bit rough around the edges still.blutgraetsche wrote:According to rumours, Stuttgart and Nürnberg seem to be in a race for Danny Koevermans from AZ Alkmaar.

Are you just joking or are you really asking?
Don't know. Jenner's lightweigth and needs to focus on his end product. By far not ready for going abroad yet.

Fey, there are rumours that Feyenoord is interested in Ebi Smolarek (Dortmund).

According to this source, Van Marwijk wants "his player" to play for him at his new club.

....What a surprise First he let the old assistants stay now he is getting old players back. Ebi, a very average player, was always van Marwijks favo. Just look how much Ebi played when he was gone at Dortmund

Re: Bundesliga summer transfers 2007
HSV are making a fool of themselves once again by offering youngster Jerome Boateng ( 18 ) almost 1m EUR in wages a year. Boateng demanded this from Hertha (he earns 100.000 EUR now, that would be an increase of 900%!) despite the fact that he only has played 10 matches for them last season, no goals or assists.
Hertha board & fans are fuming, but HSV seems to be quite desperate to attract German players.
The Boateng brothers really have to do something about their shitty attitude. They need a good coach that teaches them discipline. Both are very talented, but this could ruin their careers.

Really? Isn´t Alves supposed to leave Sevilla? Would be a very stupid decision by Hinkel then...blutgraetsche wrote:It looks like Magath has managed to lure Andreas Hinkel from Sevilla to Wolfsburg. Hinkel probably wants to improve his chances to be in the EC 2008 squad.

If Alves leaves, Sevilla are probably going to replace him with another high calibre player, but who knows?
I think that Andi wants to be on the radar again by playing in Germany (-> EC 2008), and Magath always believed in 'his' player.

I doubt it. Monchi probably has some unknown Brazilian or youth team product waiting in the wings.

Thanks for the info kas.
Don't forget chrissi that it was basically impossible for foreigners (which includes Löw) to watch Sevilla matches on TV this season (TV rights).

Re: Bundesliga summer transfers 2007
If I were him I would stay at Sevilla. If Alves leaves he has a good chance again to become a regular...oh come on, blut, we´re talking about Sevilla here and not about some shitty plastic club called Golfsburg which belongs in our second devision at best. Even Hanke left that $h!t club, and that really means something...blutgraetsche wrote:If Alves leaves, Sevilla are probably going to replace him with another high calibre player, but who knows?

Re: Bundesliga summer transfers 2007
Haha...you really hate Wolfsburg, don't you?
I understand what you are saying, and I agree even, but don't forget that things are changing at that plastic club. With Magath in charge, and millions in cash to play with by VW, things will be different next season.
Yes, Sevilla most definitely is the better club, and I do want us to have more German players abroad. But there are some arguments for a move back to Germany also.
Sevilla should really sort out the TV deal next season though.

Things might change, but Golfsburg will always remain the shitty plastic club that they are. If we´re lucky they will beat Bayerm twice next season and then get relegated...blutgraetsche wrote:Haha...you really hate Wolfsburg, don't you?

Re: Bundesliga summer transfers 2007
Lincoln had a rather mediocre season, and Schalke actually played better without him. Furthermore, the coach and the team don't seem to get along well with him anymore.
Schalke are linked to Steven Appiah from Fenerbahce. Would be a great signing, but probably too expensive, especially if Lincoln stays in Gelsenkirchen.

That too, of course.
Those Turkish clubs can attract stars because of the low tax rates, and club owners pumping silly money into their clubs.

Oh right, cheers guys. I wondered if money might come into it, but i thought Fenerbache might have come in for him if he was interested in a move to Turkey and they'd be a better option.

HSV will only buy players who are past it if they played for Werder earlier. I see them going for Klose when he is playing for Blaubach Diddelkopf at the age of 35.

Nürnberg seem to be more interested in Danny Koevermans, quite a few articles in the German press about it today. Maybe because of Hans Meyer? He still knows the Dutch league quite well I guess.
The problem is: Koevermans' contract ends in 2010.

Re: Bundesliga summer transfers 2007
Wolfsburg, the 'plastic club' chrissi loves to hate, are on a shopping spree. VW giving Magath a lot of cash to play with.
They are interested in Pape Diakhate (AS Nancy) and offer them 8m EUR, as confirmed by the Nancy president.
In the meanwhile, Hinkel told the press that he is willing to talk to Wolfsburg about a transfer from Sevilla.
Like mentioned earlier in this thread already, Kevin Hofland seems to be frustrated about the lack of success in Wolfsburg ever since he joined them three years ago, and it looks like he wants to leave. Van Marwijk, the new Feyenoord coach, wants "his player" back. He'll cost about 4m EUR.

NONONONONONO! That sounds like Hinkel's already signed a contract and moved his stuff to Wolfsburg--the only thing he's said about the whole business so far is that a) he got along well with Magath and b) was open for talks with anyone... And that Wolfsburg hadn't contacted him directly just yet.blutgraetsche wrote:It looks like Magath has managed to lure Andreas Hinkel from Sevilla to Wolfsburg. Best example of how something can be blown out of proportion pretty quickly.
