12 - 14 mil euros and he's yours. Thanks!

anyway i would be happy to sign reyes for 12 mil euros. i know he can do better and in a more offensive team we will prob play next season i would be glad with him. im not sure we should take the risk of using him as first choice winger though.

not really. i remember jaime and i said it before too. like Mexicanbecks said he is young and spanish. and he is very talented but he needs confidence to get back to his sevilla days.there was a point in this season where he was looking like getting there but then he got injuried and since then it has been on and off mostly off. next season we will play more offensive which will benefit reyes and robinho.Luis wrote:Are your views on reyes slightly rose tinted due to his league winning goals on the last day of the season?

it was kind of like that this season when becks was out and it worked until reyes got injured. although i think robinho is good on the left, reyes CANNOT play on the right cuz he only has 1 leg! You also have to remember raul will be in there most of the time or soldado some times

We're still in race for Robben, claim Real
Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon believes there is a good chance Chelsea winger Arjen Robben will join them this summer.
The Holland international has been a target of the Spanish champions for the past year.
Should Chelsea refuse to sell Robben, Madrid could join the race for Lyon winger Florent Malouda, who is also a target of the Blues.
'Malouda is a player that our (technical secretary) Miguel Angel Portugal likes a lot,' said Calderon on the club's official website.
'But we also have to consider other players that would fit in, like Robben, who has many chances of joining our team.

I think the ideal would be to have Robben, Reyes, and Robinho because all three of them can, in theory, play in both wings.
Ruud and Soldado would be the two centre forwards and Raul and Higuain the withdrawn forwards.

El Real Madrid sigue deteriorando su imagen. Los últimos episodios, hagamos recuento, son penosos.

Look, Calderon is an idiot, there is no getting around that but I think the article is a little harsh. Particularly the bit about dismantling a championship team...come on, we one it by the slimmest of margins and there is not one madridista who will lose sleep if we sell Emerson, Cannavaro, or Diarra. Yes he's gotten rid of Capello, but Schuster was his man all along and I think even those of us who would have been in favor of the continuity of keeping Capello on, we admit that the play is just so ugly it would be difficult to suffer through another season like this (even winning titles). And the institutional chaos is not unique to Calderon so there is no point trying heap all of the blame on him.

i agree i am very excited about getting robben AND reyes because robben is injury prone and reyes in inconsistent , they can step into each other's position and are both extremely talented and young. higuain is the ideal raul replacement and is very similar to him (nowadays anyways neither of them could score from 2 metres out) and robinho should do well under a new attacking system

That is a very good point, and i think there are a lot of idiots behind the scenes who hide behind the president. But to get rid of these people is near enough impossible.
Obviously i don't completely agree with the article(written by an angry journalist), but it does have a lot of valid points.

In a Dutch paper it said Mijatovic was in Holland to discuss the transfer of Drenthe. He can cost as little as 7-8M according to the AD (Algemeen Dagblad). That would be a real steal and he would only be commanding a relatively small salary of around 1-1.5M€.

To be honest, I think if we sign Reyes and Robben we'll have enough cover for the wings and signing Drenthe to play as left back seems like a waste since that is not his actual position. I hope he stays where he is for a couple of more seasons.

Real Madrid striker Roberto Soldado has verbally agreed terms over a new contract extension.
Alberto Toldra, Soldado's agent, held lengthy talks with Real directors yesterday and came away with a virtual agreement over a four-year contract extension.
It was also agreed that Soldado will remain in Madrid next season. It's understood that option was a personal request made by prospective new Real coach Bernd Schuster.
