To be honest, I think if we sign Reyes and Robben we'll have enough cover for the wings and signing Drenthe to play as left back seems like a waste since that is not his actual position. I hope he stays where he is for a couple of more seasons.

We should also take into account that all the Drenthe hype started after the under 21 world cup, but before that there wasn't too much buzz surrounding him, even in the Netherlands. It's true that he's had the misfortune of playing with an awful Feyenoord side this year but he hasn't had an amazing season either. He's a very talented player and I wouldn't mind if we bought him, but to think he will solve our problems on the left hand side is a bit naive.

But it is never going to happen.. Arsenal would be insane to do that, especially as Robinho would never fit in the EPL.

Absolutely not. I've been saying this for a while and I'll say it again. I honestly believe that by the time Robinho is 25 he will be taking on opponents just like Ronaldinho. I think he would be doing it now if Madrid hadn't been a circus for the last 2 seasons. It would be insane to get rid of him now, especially since he's carrying the Brazilian team on his shoulders in the Copa America. He even scored a hat-trick, something the bucktooth hasn't managed in 6 years of playing with the Brazilian team. Robinho's time has come and he will be challenging for the Ballon D'or this season or next season at the most.

Then there's the fact that we need Robinho more than we need Cesc. Why did we spend so much money on Gago if we're going to get Cesc as well? I guess we could play Cesc further forward like he played with Spain in the under-20 WC a few years ago but he hasn't played in that position for a while now. There's no guarantees that he will do so well in it.

Robinho is as talented as Ronaldinho, if not more talented. He needs to improve his decision making (which he is), but as much as I like him, he does need to cut out the diving/falling over. He seems to have 'beefed' up a bit, and he has no excuse for his theatrics.

I think next season will be the making (of breaking) of him.

Reyes to stay in Madrid?

José Reyes future can be in Madrid as Arsenal are ready to lower their asking price.

The London based club is ready to go down €14million from the agreed price of €24 million in Reyes loan contract to Madrid, meaning that they could snatch him up for the low price of €10 million. I can't see Arsenal being in the mood for any niceties. From what I can gather they are a bit pissed off with Calderon claiming he held talks with Wenger about becoming the new manager. They should be careful because if another club comes into the equation and Madrid are still messing us around I can see us being much more receptive to offers from other clubs. It should be in the interests for both clubs just to agree a fair price early on and get the deal sorted out quickly so that both clubs can turn their attentions to more pressing matters.

we were after abidal . he is Cr@p just like henry if you didnt know. and who cares about malouda anyway if we get robben. about drenthe i couldnt care less. i mean all the hype comes one u-21 euro cup and he is young i think. as long as you dont ruin the robben you can sign all the Cr@p players(henry,abidal) you want.
