I still have to confirm, but apparently Milan channel is reporting that Suazo is a MILAN player!!

Inter's dithering cost them. Again, nothing is official, but it showed up on Milan channel.

I suspect he will be our 4th striker (Oli will probably leave).

If this turns out to be a false report, then I will have a lot of egg on my face come tomorrow.

We have a similar case at my club these days. HSV, our arch rivals, and us are (more or less) in a "race" for Brazilian player Carlos Alberto. I reallly want him to join us because he is a quality player who could add some variability to our attack, but it would be extra sweet to piss off the HSV fans as a bonus.

Yep, as a 19 year old, scored a goal in the CL final even. But he went back to Brazil later.

I think that he'd improve his game here at Werder like Diego did, the talent is definitely there. Diego & Carlos Alberto could form quite a lethal attacking partnership for us.

In all honesty, there are probably less petty reasons why Milan bought Suazo (if they bought him).

He would be a very useful backup for us, especially considering Oliveira's tepid form.

There could be weight to this as the Inter Milan deal was not confirmed in full.

Milan will have Inzaghi, Ronaldo, Gilardino and Suazo next season as well as looking at Eto'o. Talk about having options!

Of course, you are a professional club and only sign players you need. However, I believe that the thought of Moratti fuming over this was an additional motivation.

The news became public on Wednesday afternoon, when Cagliari president Massimo Cellino revealed that an agreement had been reached with Inter patron Massimo Moratti.

The player was said to have travelled to Milan for a medical, and confirmed himself late on Wednesday that he successfully passed the tests.

"I can say for a fact that the visit [for the medical] went well," he said. "I am now waiting for the happy moment when I can declare that I am an Inter Milan player."

He revealed that some details needed to be ironed out before the contracts could be signed, but believes it is only a matter of time.

The deal will reportedly fetch Cagliari 10 million euros, along with 19-year-old striker Robert Acquafresca.

We lost Chivu to Roma almost the same way a couple of seasons ago - almost finalized deal, then ZzZzZz... at least that time we didn't announce it publicy as done.

Anyway, it's late night and I want to keep my hoptimism while heading to dreamland. Therefore:
a) the news story is a hoax
or
b) this just means we are getting Eto'o instead.

It's a done deal Forza...good signing in my opinion. He has got tremendous pace.
And the best part is the way this deal was clinched...right under Inter's nose

Bluenine wont be happy, but they have loads of strikers anyway. I cant believe Milan are buying a young player with pace .

The Chivu deal was more frustating... we let an option on him expire!! It was just plain stupid, but became obvious that Inter were not interested - one of the biggest mistakes Inter have made... same thing with Ronaldinho and Kaka, Inter had bought options on them which we didn't exercise!

This one was very sneaky of Cagliari prez... apparently the deal was agreed verbally between the presidents, it wasn't signed yet... nothing worng legally, but not a man of his word!!!

And Moratti is sometimes too much a man of his word!

Fucking hell i cant believe it ! Inter are going to be veyr pissed off.

Interesting signing.

Physically as good as anyone in football + he has very good feet and is a good finisher.

He married a local girl while with Cagliari and is thought to have settled very well in Italy + he is obviously held in very high esteem by his club as he is captain (despite being foreign, a striker and not very old).

His team mates seem to like him a lot - its always intersting to see how team mates react to the scorer - often gives you a clue as to how liked they are.

He appears to be mentally strong too judging by the number of penalties he converts so maybe he can handle the pressure of playing for Milan.

I wouldn't worry about the fact he scored less goals last season than the season before - I found Cagliari to be very dull and lacking in imagination last season.

He should be great at running on to balls in between the CB's or a CB and an FB from Pirlo and Kaka.

I 1st noticed him when Soccer AM were showing Cagliari's Serie B goals every week in Zola's 1st season back and I wondered who 9 Suazo was who kept on scoring - I've followed his career since then.

I hope he is a great success at Milan
