He's got concussion, hence the 442 and the good performance. The sad thing is i know in the next game we'll be back to 451 and Smith and Barton in midfield. Rolling Eyes

torres is our best player again tonight. we need a goal to open the floodgates though as wigan might be dangerous on the break

the midfield and Torres are so disconnected. It's almost like we're playing counter attack. I don't understand this team selection at all. Torres has done better than expected with back to goal I suppose.

The even sadder thing is that Allardyce, having made the mistake of signing Barton in the first place, won't rectify that error by not playing the c**t when he's (yet again) behaving like a twat, and there's almost no chance of him being sold this season.

Smith, for all his limitations as a footballer, is a good guy to have around. His attitude helps inspire others, I believe. There must be some reason why he lasted three seasons at Man U.

Nonetheless, I can understand your frustration with the pair of them. 11.8 million...

Unsurprisingly 4-2-3-1 / 4-5-1 not working against the wigan bus and as usual as a support striker (ie his best position and the only position he is world class in according to some of the board intellectuals Wink ) gerrard has been ineffective

crouch would change it all in an instant so I await his introduction with about ten minutes to go

Grr Thankfully he couldn't play for awhile and fergie finally realised we're actually pretty good without that fucko. 5 good games in 3 years <Ale>

5? I can only think of 3. Still, Fergie seemed to like the guy, and he's generally a good judge of character. In footballing terms though, possibly the worst buy he ever made. A miracle you got your money back on him.

    McCarthy (Samba)

Friedel's saved two penalties in a row. Don't think Reina's even had the chance to save two penalties this season.
