We should win those games 3 nil each. At leats.

But what I want is Marco to finally show he can make the team play beautiful football. And start making the right calls - no Greene!!! meerdink! Heitinga starter! Kuijt LW! Jaliens! etc etc.
Who is he going to make a fued with now? Kuijt at VI tonight indirectly hinted that he wasn't happy with the pruging of Van Bommel and RVN either; in addition to VDS's public disbelief that the coach banned those two.

Maybe Sneijder will have a good game...

We've got two very, *very* dangerous games coming.

We'll win both without breaking a sweat, that's where the danger comes in : it will seem that the ridiculous decisions by Van Basten are justified while they are not.

After last sunday we've got a new threat : what if our golden boy KJH succumbs to the Ajax-malaise (just like VDV did a while back)....and stops scoring goals Yikes

Now that Van Nistelrooy has been (unjustly) dumped, we've got no backup striker : Kuyt doesn't work in that position in a 4-3-3....

Another thing we saw at the WC : with Robben and RVP on the wings we have three separate lines and the central striker will become woefully isolated. So even though Robben and RVP are the best wingers we have, for the sake of the balance of the team we can't play them both at the same time on the wings.

We need Dirk Kuijt on the RW....remember where he played in the qualifying campaign, and remember how the team looked in those matches ?

Dirk on the right will bring balance to the team and will actually create space to run into for backs and midfield....and with his work-ethos he'll also help plugging holes in midfield (and defense).

With Robben injured I'm praying Marco will for once use some common sense and play RVP on the left, KJH up front and Kuyt from the right.

For the long term another solution might be tried : Robben on the left, RVP as central striker and Kuyt from the right....

The other obvious danger is of course that if the Mediocre Midget gets to play against these Midget opponents he might actually look good (because they'll fail to defend him, just like NAC)....and we'll also start him against decent opposition (we saw at the WC what happens then).

Oh and btw : if Sneijder starts I'm really considering not watching at all....it's just too much to bear, seeing him squander posession and all set pieces Sad

RVP missed an incredible amount of chances this weekend....

hope he gets his scoring boots back on for Oranje, he's got the talent, but he's very much like Dennis Bergkamp - doesnt seem to like scoring "easy" goals- and as a result, he lacks goal poaching instinct...

so not sure if playing him upfront as ther main striker would work Axeslammer..

He's my fourth choice for Oranje (in all his wisdom *cough* Van Basten has axed my numbers 2 and 3)...

    1) KJH (just edges Ruud because of age)
    2) RVN
    ...
    ...
    ...
    3) Makaay
    4) RVP

Don't underrate JVoH! He's quite good, and is as good as most strikers, but can head very well and often gets played as target man.

Kuijt as a striker within the system MVB uses, makes Kuijt having to drop back a bit deeper, and he's not there when (and if) the wingers cross. And you're not using Kuijt's positives that way, his finishing as a target man is not as lethal as RVN's.

I don't think I'll watch the games to be honest. MVB has taken away the joy of watching Oranje play. We'll defeat minnows due to out individual class, but as a team we linger on a bit.
I don't care anymore, and I watched the games under Louis van Gaal and Dick Advocaat! We'll win with a blow out and scrape one, then MVB will be hailed as a tactical genius ==> we'll reach the EC08, then play miserable again.

For the first time in my life I can say I have nothing but a barely-there-interest in Oranje. All due to MVB. He's blagging his way to the top. Almost complete indifference - I've watched the previous campaign, the WC, his starting line-up against Ireland and his selection and purging. I know enough.

Kuyt is better BUT in another system! He is a more versatile player than JVoH but as alone striker I would have played with JVoH at the World Cup and NOT with RvN or Kuijt! In the system of MvB at the World Cup we would have had at least a forward because JVoH is a physical and tall player where you can pass long balls at! Kuyt, Huntelaar and Ruud are all not that good in controlling long high balls!
