We've got two very, *very* dangerous games coming.
We'll win both without breaking a sweat, that's where the danger comes in : it will seem that the ridiculous decisions by Van Basten are justified while they are not.
After last sunday we've got a new threat : what if our golden boy KJH succumbs to the Ajax-malaise (just like VDV did a while back)....and stops scoring goals
Now that Van Nistelrooy has been (unjustly) dumped, we've got no backup striker : Kuyt doesn't work in that position in a 4-3-3....
Another thing we saw at the WC : with Robben and RVP on the wings we have three separate lines and the central striker will become woefully isolated. So even though Robben and RVP are the best wingers we have, for the sake of the balance of the team we can't play them both at the same time on the wings.
We need Dirk Kuijt on the RW....remember where he played in the qualifying campaign, and remember how the team looked in those matches ?
Dirk on the right will bring balance to the team and will actually create space to run into for backs and midfield....and with his work-ethos he'll also help plugging holes in midfield (and defense).
With Robben injured I'm praying Marco will for once use some common sense and play RVP on the left, KJH up front and Kuyt from the right.
For the long term another solution might be tried : Robben on the left, RVP as central striker and Kuyt from the right....
The other obvious danger is of course that if the Mediocre Midget gets to play against these Midget opponents he might actually look good (because they'll fail to defend him, just like NAC)....and we'll also start him against decent opposition (we saw at the WC what happens then).
Oh and btw : if Sneijder starts I'm really considering not watching at all....it's just too much to bear, seeing him squander posession and all set pieces
