It's great that they are having the games on the same day. This weekend Madriz will be playing at 8pm (on PPV) and after that Barça at 10pm (TV3/La Sexta).

Sevilla and Valencia's matches will be on Sunday.

And of course, as ncfc posted a while back, the next 2 weekends will reach truly heart-stopping proportions, because all 10 matches will be played at the same time!

My favourite part of the article was this line, about Atletico's stand-in keeper Pichu:

If it's one thing to have a keeper who sounds like a Pokemon, it's quite another to have a keeper who plays like one.

    matchday .... Barcelona ........ Sevilla ............ Madrid
    36 ............... Getafe (H) ....... Zaragoza (H) .... Depor (H)
    37 ............... Espanyol (H) .... Mallorca (A) ...... ZaragozA)
    38 ............... Nastic (A) ........ Villarreal (H) ..... Mallorca (H

Barca have a piss easy run in, we're as us and Sevilla have a more challenging run in.

Lets not even talk about Valencia, cos neither them or Sevilla are going to win it.

Espanyol isn't that easy since it is a derby and they would love to hand you the league. Getafe recently beat us 4-0 and won 1-5 this weekend. They will also be difficult to break down.

Deportivo are garbage, especially in the Bernabeu we should (I know, I know...see the match against Espanyol) beat them easily.

Zaragoza will be a tough match no doubt but as long as Helguera doesn't play I think we stand a good chance. Biggrin

Reason why Ivan The Man doesn't play because if he plays "X" amount of games he gets certain amount of money/ or an extentsion it's one of those.

Better for us -- it would be a nightmare seeing him trying to chase after Ewerthon and Diego Milito.

What does everyone think of all this talk of maletines? You think they're actually going on?

There's some pretty strong (and complicated) stories appearing, especially with regards to the Basque teams in their relegation battle...

Here's Phil Ball's article on it:

Maletines have always "gone on". Like the Getafe player said "Primas are like Bin Laden, they exist but no one has seen them".

I like Phil Ball's column, always gives teriffic insight into Spabnish football. I find this malentine thing amazing, the fact that authorities haven't outlawed it is crazy.
