A very frustrating half from us. Not the slightest hint of Liverpool playing football but it doesn't matter, they got the goal as a result of our poor play and it is up to us to break them down. Hleb has been superb, but we haven't made the most of our chances. Eboue has been hopeless and Fabregas below par. It's encouraging for us that we are outplaying them but Liverpool are tough to break down.

Liverpool are playing far too deep...they need to move forward and hold a higher line, and the midfield needs to attack the Arsenal midfielders further up the pitch. Right now Arsenal are easily passing their way through to Liverpool's penalty box, and a goal is bound to come if that continues.

Annoyed with the organisation of the wall. We made it much easier for Gerrard to score.

We have played some good football though, and made some good openings. Hleb has been impressive.

HT: A deserved lead by Liverpool, Arsenal lack creativity upfront hence they have zero shots on target.

I feel we could get something out of this game. We should have used rosicky a bit more than we have done so far, he was getting a lot of space on the right.

Walcott should be introduced in the 60th minute if the scores remain like this.

Anyway Arsenal have been pretty good, but i still see Liverpooll winning this. As for Torres Laugh

What do we think of Adebayor this half? So many occasions where he failed to deliver to final ball, the Toure chance was a prime example, very frustrating. Arsenal look good though. No reason why they can't still go on and win this.

Liverpool played better with 0-0 then they did when 1 0 up attacking wise , Torres has been poor maybe some injury problem because I have seen Crouch warming up.

    Should have put this here.

He's been poor and the main reason why Arsenal have not scored in the first half, despite looking much the better side.

im not sure about that. arsenal are not really creating a bunch of chances. if arsenal do get a goal however i cant see how liverpool would react because they have really been bad and the 3 striker tactic is not working.

Rosicky has also been very frustrating, he has games like that though, where nothing goes right for him. as you say, bring Walcott on and add some pace, this could be a game for him to really present himself to a world audience.

The likes of Eboue can't give away soft freekicks. The only time Liverpool have really threatened have been from set pieces, and they've looked dangerous from them so we must be careful. This is the best football we've played at Anfield for a long time but we don't look clinical at the moment. Also the further Liverpool sat back the fewer chances we created which is a bit of a worry for us.

Why don't you actually watch the game? Reina saved from Adebeyor so that's one for a start. Carragher should have been sent off twice, the nasty thug.

Liverpool had more so they deserve the lead, Carragher should indeed be of. But then again Sagna made a clear handball..

If you dominate the game like Arzzzzzenal does and still being unable to create 0 or 1 chances you dont deserve the lead Rosy!!

I dont care whether its deserved or not

I know we're more than capable of playing better football than this

We usually control games and rarely give possession so watching this is so unlike us

But given the circumstances, injuries etc, recent results - I'd take 3 points and ask questions later Ale
