Fiorentina seem to be, they fielded a pretty strong side tonight. Will be a good match against Everton, hopefully Vieri will be back for that.

To be honest, in the last 7-8 years they haven't... most of them have played their reserves in the uefa cup. Hence it was very refreshing when at the begining of this season Prandelli said that the UEFA Cup was one of his objectives. Fiorentina have consistently put a strong side for their UEFA Cup games. I hope they go far, and I hope other italian sides learn from their example. Unfortunately, most Fiorentina fans don't seem to care about this one - they would much rather Fiorentina focus on gettin that CL spot.

Next season, Italy will probably have a strong representation in this competition, with teams who can fight at two fronts... team like Udinese, Sampdoria and Milan Razz

I knew they wouldn't do it today. They've been awful in the league of late, and without Kun, RG, Simao etc, the result was all too predictable. Despite how much money they've spent, this is a wake up call about the overall quality of their squad. If they are to qualify for the CL they'll need to bring in more quality.

Reyes, Luis Garcia, Pernia, Mista etc all need be sold. They're Cr@p. Maxi needs a kick up the ass too. His rapid degeneration is worrying.

On a serious note though I always thought they would do Atletico because they are a bunch of poofs. Any team that can cope with Bolton's physical presence and has decent footballing ability will dispatch of this side quite easily.

Such a lucky goal in the 90th minute for Benfica... Sad ...but Nürnberg did indeed very well in the UEFA Cup for Germany considering all their injury problems, the relegation battle and the fact they had the most difficult opponents of all German teams. Let's hope they won´t get relegated.

Pointless trying to make conclusions about La Liga based on Atletico - they're basically the Spanish Newcastle.

Anyway, loads of goals but hardly any for the popular fantasy players, which allowed to escape relatively unharmed from the decision to make Forlan my captain Razz

You fantasy guys should've picked up Liedson... he's got a good goal tally in Europe this season as he's done before.

He had about 4-5 in the CL and grabbed his first 2 in Uefa yesterday...

He's reached around 12 goals in Uefa before...
