Of course it was a penalty. He made no attempt to tackle, he didn't even stand in front. He came in from the side and jumped into him and his path.

Why can't you have two penalties if they are both legit. FFS!

if it was a foul it was obstruction, which leads to an indirect free kick

The first was a clear penalty. There was contact for the second but after recent decisions who knows if it should have been a penalty? Lesser contact has been awarded a penalty in CL games recently but on the other hand more has been ignored.

Sure you can have them, IF they are legit. If anything, it was Ronaldo who put his arm in front of Marquez first. In fact, if Marquez stood in front it then would have been a penalty because Ronaldo would have fallen off-balance.

That tackle was the very definition of 50-50. If refs start giving penalties for that then we'll have to re-open the debate about whether football is a non-contact sport.

unfortunately barca on current form may not be good enough to punish them as they deserve

They are giving the ball away very easily. Rooney had been invisible until he made a very good clearance mid way through the half. He just can't seem to get in the game.

Milito is a moron. Amazing how $h!t he's been at Barcelona lately.

Ronaldo may show up in the second half and he may actually score from a FK from 40 yards away but I think he needs to get over himself a bit

Ronaldo is too selfish, and his attempt to shut up critics (I don't know who in particular) are way over the top - which was the cause of his missed pen.

Rooney & Tevez need to switch positions.

Barca are far too static to take full advantage, a lot of passing but not enough moving.

    ok
Ronaldo ran straight into Marquez, without trying to run round him.

Secondly, the contact that was made wasn't enoghu to send Ronaldo to the ground, he deliberately hit Marquez so he could go down.

I was always under the impression that he was, hence playing on the right wing in his early Juve days and Bari days. He's practically as good with his left foot and maybe playing at left back has made him prefer his left foot Question

We're attacking with more pace, but that also is allowing MU to launch long balls down the flanks.
