Re: Kaka open to City move !
That's the thing. If say Man City were in the same boat as say Aston Villa are right now (challenging for forth position), than the possibility of Kaka would not seem as far fetched. However it's known that Kaka isn't in the same mould as Robinho (in terms of moving for the money), so I cannot see him moving to City, when they're in such poor position in the league. Plus he's loved in Milan and even if Milan accepts the bid, I can see Kaka rejecting the move...

Re: Kaka open to City move !
If Kaka's got sense he'd at least wait till summer. Crazy to move there while they are lying in 15th, and not looking like qualifying for Europe. A transfer like this mid-season could re-invigorate the club - or it could actually demotivate players like Ireland, if he suddenly finds himself shunted onto the bench or out of position.
I'm sure they'll still be willing to spunk huge wages on him in 6 months.

I guess you have a different concept of the value of money if you have £25 billion.

Re: Kaka open to City move !
I think if anything, the deal will involve Kaka moving in the summer. He'd be cup tied for the UEFA cup. I can't imagine him being particularly interested in moving to a club where he possibly couldn't play in Europe for a year and a half.

The family behind the takeover is allegedly worth $500 billion. That's still less than the personal wealth of David Rockefeller, but compared to us shitstackers it's another world.

The difference being that Riviera makes the odd irrelevant comment, whereas everything Dickanio posts is irrelevant, tedious, repetitive, ignorant bullshit which no one here wants to read. Check out his latest attempt at starting a thread. It's a fucking disgrace. A blind dog would make a better internet acquaintance.

Kaka': "I want to grow old at Milan. I want to become captain of the club."

Well at the rate we're going, he could quite literally grow grey and old at Milan. I don't think this deal will go ahead, but you never know in football. However, remember Diego Kotschko (sp) has also been saying for the past 3 summers that Kaka'-Real was practically done, so that should tell you about his credibility.
More realistic options for City for the next 3 years at least are Santa Cruzs and the Bellamys.
Once (if) they get into the CL, then it will be very different.

I think 99% of the world's population realise that it would be a ridiculous move.
Its not as though Citeh even need a player in that position. They need a proven powerful goalscorer and a complete new defence.

Surely this is about signing a(nother?) world class player in an attempt to then attract other world class players in the future. It's not about filling positions, it's about getting WPOTY candidates to seriously consider Man C as a club.

Re: Kaka open to City move !
Aside from Messi and Ronaldo (bearing in mind the Manchester rivalry), I'd say Kaka is the most difficult signing to pull off in world football.
IMO they could easily sign world class players that would greatly improve the squad without having to suffer the blow of rejection - which IMO is what will happen here and may damage the club's reputation.

It's never going to happen. Everyone would laugh at Kaka if he went to a diddy club like Man City. If he does leave Milan he will probably end up at Real Madrid who have tried to buy him several times in the last few years.

People always forget that Chelsea bid for everyone & anyone that very 1st summer (2003), and got rejected loads of times.

They've still only really signed a couple of world stars. Ballack and Sheva..one was a huge massive dirty flop..and the other is German and we know what we think of that.

Is my opinion as well. Would be great to see Kaka here in England as we want the world's best stars playing here but if he was coming to anyone in England it would be one of the current top 3 and if he badly wanted to leave then maybe Arsenal but the rest have no chance of signing him IMO.
The price suggested for him is ridiculous as well, he's not as good as Ronaldo or Messi IMO, not anywhere near as good, I'd also rather have Torres and Gerrard tbh.

He quite blantantly is as good as Ronaldo and Messi. He just had a bad season last time round when *shock horror* most of his team mates played poorly as well plus Milan never invested like they should have.
