Yeah, Gallas will be a good signing for Juve.DS wrote:Gallas would be a good signing, Fiorentina will only sell if its a big deal that guy is talented.

Milan are looking for a Gattuso replacement, surprisingly the name of Dessena of Doria doing the rounds. Milan have already secured Thiago Silva for next summer for £9M.
Napoli are after Cannavaro, and are hoping they can bring him home this winter.
Juventus are keen on Gallas.
Fiorentina may sell Kuzmanovic to Real.
Inter to offload Dacourt, and loan out Crespo and Obinna.

If these transfers do happen, then it surely will mean that EPL is far greater than Serie A. These players belong to the top sides of Serie A, and are among the key players in their teams. If sides like City and Arsenal are able to pry stars away from Inter/Juve, then we must open our mind to the possibility that EPL is a league ahead of Serie A.
But then, most Serie A fans find these rumours laughable. Its like Fiorentina going after Terry, and Roma going after Fabregas. Now even if Fiorentina were owned by the richest man in the world, why would Terry leave Chelsea for Fiorentina? So most likely, these are either press generated rubbish, or poor transfer attempts which are doomed for failure. I myself find it very hard to imagine any of these transfers will happen - they just don't make sense.
The only way these are going to happen is if the transfer money offered is so ridiculously huge, that the selling club tells the player to go.
Only time will tell.

The Premiership is already streets ahead in terms of buying power, and that is ultimately a major factor in attracting players. Some Serie A clubs have bought very well this summer and weren't hesitant to spend big, but it's probably no match for what the Premiership spent overall.
Maybe it'll change now, and their spending go down a bit, with some of the owners struggling with the current economic problems, and with Roy Keane no longer managing Sunderland.
McGeady had a bust up with Gordon Strachan after Celtic's draw with Hearts. He has been fined and suspended for two weeks by the club, this means that he will miss the game with Rangers.Effenberg wrote:Aiden McGeady (Celtic) linked with Bayern. Can anybody enlighten me?

You don't want Chiellini? I think he would be a good player for Arsenal to get if it was possible. allthough i think it would be hard to attract at the moment.Cesc Soler (c) wrote:They're not the only ones, believe me ...bluenine wrote:

Good player dont know if he is good enough for us , have only played in SPL.Effenberg wrote:Aiden McGeady (Celtic) linked with Bayern. Can anybody enlighten me?
No, no. What I mean is that is exceptionally unlikely this will happen. Juventus would want big money for their star defender, and lets face it he has a better chance of a title where he is at the moment.Super Madrid wrote:You don't want Chiellini? If you mean about McGeady he is a good young player, product of Celtic's youth policy a midfielder/winger. He chose to play for Republic of Ireland rather than Scotland due to family ties, but was brought up in Scotland. He recently had a big row with Celtic manager Gordon Strachan that resulted in a two week suspension from Celtic's first team. His agent says he will appeal. This has led to a lot of transfer speculation as there are doubts that he and Strachan can get along now.
