IF Villa get into the CL, they will be KOed in the group stage and most likely go back into the UEFA cup. They are a UEFA cup level team (plus if they wanted to have a better chance in the CL they could actually do with the coefficient points).

Villa is a bigger club than, for example, Chelsea - barring the success Abramovich bought in recent years.
