Youth teams keeps winning, Rochina and Dongou still can't stop scoring, 3 and 4 for them respectively.

Don't think there's anything in the Etoo rumours...he's being linked to many top clubs but the reality is nobody knows because I think the player himself genuinely hasn't decided what to do.
In other news related to Barça:
http://www.marca.com/2009/03/30/futbol/equipos/barcelona/1238430284.html
Valdes' agent feels his player should earn as much as Casillas...what an idiot he is for saying that publicly. While I agree that Valdes deserves a pay rise, to think that he should earn as much as some of the top 5 keepers in the world is ridiculous. He's clearly not that good. This is probably just a way of putting pressure on the club...I really don't believe there are other top clubs who would be interested in him. At least no club that will pay him what he wants while also offering a starting spot and the trophy chances that Barça does.
-----------------------
And unsurprisingly (after yesterday's "I'm not happy in Milan" comments), Ronaldinho's agent says he would love to return

In Marca I read that the supposed offer from Liverpool would be about 20m euro. Seems a bit on the ridiculous side for a player who is still just 28 years old. How many more years is left on his current contract?

Expires in 2010, so only 1 season after this, that's why it's so low. But they picked up the story from an English tabloid, so I wouldn't read too much into it.
It's something I've noticed really increasing in the past few months - a Spanish paper comes up with some rumour, and 1 or 2 days later it's in the English press as "Spanish paper so-and-so reports that player x is moving to club y". And then a few days later, some Spanish paper will have a story "according to English tabloid so-and-so...", etc. It's quite hilarious for its sheer stupidity

I was reading that Eto'o wants to leave on a free and decide where he wants to go, rather than the club decide i.e. the highest bidder.

Well if he's leaving this summer with 1 year on his contract, and the fee is relatively low (20-25m), then he'll pretty much get his wish of choosing where he wants to go. Because every top club in Europe can afford that. Unless he has same strange fetish for Arsenal.

if he is going to go for 25M and villa stays at valencia are goes to any club other than real, then i would rather keep him for the season and let him go on a free.
20-25M us a joke for the best striker in the world, anything less than 35 is unacceptable.

If Etoo leaves, Villa will *definitely* come to Barça, I have no doubts about it. His signing will be sealed before Madrid's new president sits down in his chair.
And if Etoo wants to leave, I wouldn't keep him and lose him on a free next year. Don't forget we lose him for 2 months anyway through the African Cup, and he's 28. So if he wants out, I'd cash in now.
He is indeed key to us, but it's not as difficult to replace as LB, for example. Currently there are lots of good strikers on the market - Villa, Aguero, and possibly Benzema.

Grahame Hunter was saying Villa representatives were unhappy with RM way of signing Villa; last minute, wouldnt pay an extra 5m€ etc.
Let Eto'o go on a free? Barca should take the 30m, besides Eto'o has a habit of picking up serious injuries which may become more frequent in his 30's. So it might not be all doom n gloom.
Guest- Guest
The only striker that could replace eto'o is Villa or maybe milito.
benzema isnt good enough and Kun cant play in a 3 man front line, did you see how crap he was with argentina on Saturday.
if eto'o leaves we will get close to our valuation for him, because clubs will keep trying to out bid each other and cause a bit of a bidding war.
I just hope the club doesn't come out and say something stupid like they did last season, like eto'o has no place at the club are something like that, which will drive down his price.

Someone made a good point in La Liga Loca about the Valdes issue - apparently this guy is a new agent of Valdes, and he also represents Casillas. So maybe he's trying to get Valdes the same wages as Casillas, only to go to Madrid and say "hey look, Casillas should get more than Valdes"

Thats a good theory, the only one that makes sense
But
VV says he has not asked to be on the same amount as Iker

Translation (for Axe): Laporta: We have decided that we will pay Valdés what he has asked for. But he will only be able to keep the bundles of money he stops.

So, finally the intl break is over and luckily it doesn't look like we have any injured players. Squad status, afaik:
Etoo - back after 1 game last Saturday
Bojan - was at the club, no int'l games
Henry - played 90 mins twice
Messi - played 90 mins twice, the 2nd was in Bolivia at altitude
Hleb - played 90 mins yesterday, but nothing last weekend
Iniesta - just recovered from injury
Xavi - played 90 mins twice
Busquets - only sub appearances for Spain
Keita - back after 1 game last Saturday
Toure - back after 1 game, but was carrying a knock
Gudjohnsen - played 90 mins yesterday, but nothing last weekend
Sylvinho - was at the club, no int'l games
Abidal - injured
Milito - injured
Puyol - just recovered from injury
Marquez - was at the club, no int'l games
Caceres - played 90 mins twice, will be jetlagged
Alves - played 90 mins twice, will be jetlagged
Pique - played 90 mins twice
Jorquera - was at the club, no int'l games
Pinto - was at the club, no int'l games
Valdes - was at the club, no int'l games, his agent acted like a c**t
We should be able to be at full strength for the Bayern game, so I think for the Valladolid match this should be the lineup:
Valdes
Puyol-Pique-Marquez-Sylvinho
Busquets-Keita-Iniesta
Etoo-Bojan-Hleb
I'm not sure about the status of Iniesta and Puyol, but there are no other options at RB because both Caceres and Alves will be flying back all the way from South America. And we have to have either Iniesta or Xavi in midfield, because otherwise there's no control of the passing or buildup play whatsoever. Gudjohnsen certainly can't do that job.
Maybe start Xavi and take him off for Iniesta. Messi and Henry are good enough options on the bench in case the game is still to be won late on.

Bojan played 90 Min, with the U-21's
yaya didnt play
alves didnt start both of brazil's games
Alves will start at RB, i'm almost sure of it, pep thinks he is superhuman are something.
Pique/Puyol for CB.
