From F365 mailbox. Guardiola the mind game expert? Very Happy

    Pep Talk
Pep Guardiola played the Ace of Spades when in roughly the 84th minute he was pictured on TV with his arm around Gus Hiddink's shoulders clearly telling him something like "well done, you've won it".

That surely caused Hiddink to sit back and not make any serious effort to continue to urge on his team?!

A pivotal moment in the eventual outcome, in my humble view!

    CULES Ale

Any chance Pep might try a 3-4-3 in the final seeing that both first choice full backs are missing? The problem with that is that Pique and Puyol will need another center back with them and with Marquez being injured and all... Hows Milito coming along? I don't think he'll have match fitness for the final.

no he will stick to his 4-3-3 formation with toure and pique at the back and busquets in midfield.

i would rather him play caceres in our remaining games, so he can build up so confidence and play him at CB, because i want yaya in midfield and i think caceres as the pace to match the utd attackers, but i doubt he will do this.

If you are the home team you can elect to wear your away kit. I know Milan have done that, opting for their all white kit instead of the red and black stripes.

But really the kit is irrelevant. What really matters is Pep's leather tie.

I'm 99% sure you were undefeated in 2005-06 in the yellow kit.

I know you lost to Atleti wearing yellow in the league this season but in Europe i still think the record stands.

I suppose it will be a little bit of a mix. Caceres may get a few chances from now until the end of the season, and I think Bojan as well, due to the possible absence of Henry in the CL final.

Guardiola indicated that he wants to win the league as soon as possible, but seeing that Real Madrid are losing tonight, if it stays like that, we would only need 2 points from our last 4 games.

If they have the chance to win the league, I don't think they'll bottle it tomorrow night at front of their own fans.

Now that Madrid have lost, Guardiola will definitely play a close to full strength team (perhaps Iniesta or Messi rested, but not both) to get the win and finish the league off.

Then obviously full strength on Wednesday, and after that it's basically a 2 week fitness break in the buildup to Rome.

I think we'll get the goals scored record - just need 8 in 4 games. Valdes also has the Zamora wrapped up. Only worry for me is whether Etoo can hang on to Pichichi...his form has cooled off a bit while Forlan is on fire, in a repeat of 2006.

    What's the record points total?

What´s the situation with regard to your appeal against the suspensions of Alves and Abidal? Do you think you might be successful?

It seems Werder Bremen also want to appeal for clemency at the UEFA in Diego's case.

Since ManU did the same with regard to Fletcher and since Platini doesn´t want such suspensions for a final, I think it´s not hopeless...

I'm pretty sure all appeals will be rejected. If UEFA approve it now, it'll set a dangerous precedent (unless they revamp their rules in the summer).

I really wanted to clinch the league title this evening. It was clear that the players were not focused at all, at least some of them.
They were probably thinking of all the credits that they will have during these following 2/3 weeks if they win the treble.
But as Kas said, on a positive note, we can surpass that limit of 107 goals. How do we play the next weekend? Before or after RM plays?
