France 0-0 Spain
what did i say, i burns be to know that i was right
the coach should have known that barcelona is the Spanish national team, as weird as that may sound to some catalans.
he has a barca back line, and they now have the best defense in the comp, he as a madrid(atletico and real) attack and they are shit.
now if they get lucky, these are the players that will represent spain at the U-17 WC and not the team that won last year with 5 masia products in the starting XI, because uefa organize thier U-17 comp, in such a way that they will miss out.

Spain's coach got owned big time by the French guy, who made sure the game was played the way France wanted: long pitch, lots of space. Spain should just have played more tight, they were far to far apart for playing their passing game. Now the match was about running.

Swiss 2-1 up v Italy. interesting means Italy must beat France & Spain (to be sure) must beat Switzerland

first 10 minutes Germany were in the ropes. They scored with thier 1st attack after 13 minutes, thereafter England collapsed.
Anyway credit to germany 5-1 v Turkey & 4-0 v England is very very good. Just like our start at Euro 2008...

swiss up 3-1
spain will need to win their game against the swiss to qualify, because italy seem to be poor and i'm guessing france will beat them.
time for the boys from madrid, to step up for the crown, and don't leave it to the boys from catalan.
i wouldn't be surprise if one of our players score in the next match and spend them through, its all masiapendencia

The Swiss youth teams are very good recently. Their U21s Ko-ed our U21 (mainly because of ours being complacent, but still, they had a decent team). Impressive results by their U17s too.
I'm not sure about Italy, V Spain they didn't try to play footy & v the Swiss they were with 10 men for most of the match. I think they can actually play decent attacking footy if only their coach would allow them too (old Italian problem)

Very strong game by our youngsters. They were the better team in the first half, but the second half pure dominance.
"Kicker" said before the Euros started, that Buchtmann and Mario Götze are our best players. And indeed, they promise alot for the future. I expect
Götze to have his Bundesliga debut next season. It will be much more difficult for Buchtmann in Liverpool, though.
About England: You can clearly see, that Wilshere is a talent. He has a strong footwork and vision. He can become a very good player. But there are several other young players at these Euros, who have the same quality, at least.
The other England players looked strong physically, but somehow limited.

Just watched the highlights there. Looks a decent talent... nice left foot on him, can cross a ball and a decent bit of skill.
Got a mention to on the Liverpool site too
LIVERPOOL'S BUCHTMANN SHINES IN GERMANY ROUT
Christopher Buchtmann played a starring role as Germany cruised into the semi-finals of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship with a 4-0 hammering of England.
The 17-year-old continued his impressive start to the tournament by setting up three of the host nation's four goals in what proved to be a one-sided encounter.
It follows on from his goalscoring role in Germany's opening day victory over Turkey, although he will now miss his country's final group match against Holland after picking up a yellow card late on.

Dutch spearhead Castaignos on the charge
The Netherlands are on the verge of their second straight UEFA European Under-17 Championship semi-finals and Luc Castaignos has been at the spearhead of their campaign in Germany.
Close to record
Having been frustrated in the opening 1-1 draw with England, Castaignos put the Netherlands ahead against Turkey on the stroke of half-time on Saturday. He also hit the woodwork in a 2-1 victory that leaves the Jong Oranje three points clear in second place in Group B. That goal was Castaignos's ninth in eleven U17 appearances and has moved him to within one of the Dutch record at that level, held jointly by Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, Collins John and Geoffrey Castillion, the latter part of last season's semi-finalist squad.
Qualities
However, coach Albert Stuivenberg believes that Castaignos has only shown part of his potential in Germany so far. "Luc can do much better than he has done in these two games," Stuivenberg said. "He is a very fast player and he is very strong when the ball is played deep. And he can also score goals."
Relief
Castaignos himself is relieved to have opened his account. "It is a great feeling, of course, to get the three points but like our coach said there is disappointment about the game itself; we can do a lot better," Castaignos told uefa.com. "As a striker my first aim is to score, so I was disappointed not to score in the first match. But then it was a great feeling to score in the second game."
Attacking fluency
In both outings the Netherlands have, in patches, played the sort of smooth attacking football with which their nation is associated and Castaignos stated: "We have got a lot of players that can get the ball behind the last defender. I am a very strong and fast player, so I am able to take advantage of that, get through to the goalkeeper and score."
Feyenoord connection
Their attacking fluency is aided by a strong contingent of seven Feyenoord players in the squad, notably Castaignos and fellow attackers Shabir Isoufi and Nigel Velder. "It doesn't matter what club we are at, [but], of course, in the end it is an advantage because we know each other well," Castaignos said. "We all know what we are going to do when we go deep for the ball, so it is an advantage."
Germany encounter
A point against Germany in Jena on Tuesday would ensure the Netherlands progress, though it will not be straightforward with another crowd similar to the 8,500 that watched the hosts beat England 4-0 yesterday expected again at the Ernst-Abbe Sportfeld. "I am really excited about the match. It is great to play in front of that many people, but also I am tense because it is an important game," said Castaignos.

All matches FT.
Swiss win the group, Italy 2nd. Both qulify for SFs. Spain finishes 3rd which means they qualify for the U17 WC. France go home empty handed.
Amazing no goals for Spain after 4 hours of footy and 60 odd goal attempts.

Spain don't qualify because of the lack of attacking talent but finish the tournament with the best defense.

Marti and carmona would have made things so very different, he better learn is lesson and take at least 10 masia players to the U-17 WC
