Everton sign American Cody Arnoux. He's a support striker. He put up very good numbers for Wake Forest in the NCAA, beat my Terrapins at our place 4-2, but choked in the NCAA Tournament.

He is a very good player, and the transfer fee is low indeed. However, Sunderland supposedly pay him £60,000 a week, he'll be their highest paid player.
That's why we were never really interested in him I suppose.

so is anyone impressed by any teams transfers so far ? or concerned about any team ?
Im surprised Villa and Everton havnt brought in more and Pompey have a lot of work to do especially as crouch is off.
I think Wolves have spent quite well and in terms of value for money i think Burnley have done well but need a lot more.

He plays in our first team, gets sold for 3.5m. Sits on the bench for 2 years and gets sold for 4m

I'm surprised by Man City spending so much money. No one saw that coming.
I'm 'concerned' about Man U, I think they're taking a big gamble on Hargreaves otherwise it's another season with Rooney in midfield. I'd be surprised if they won the league.
Villa need to be more aggressive, they've got a good collection of players but not very many of them. Spurs need a defence, but they always need a defence. I think Pompey will struggle, but there probably are 3 shitter teams.

I think Pommpy will go down, they've sold players and not sure they have the team to stay in the prem

Seems Crouch is of to Spuds. 'Arry certainly likes the familiar.
Imagine he will be a good buy. Works well with Defoe, though I can't see Keane getting dropped, so I wonder if Spurs will employ some sort of 4-3-3 system. Imagine Bent/Pav will be off.

Er, what? Go and read a Villa forum. Fans are negative as hell. Most doubt we'll finish top 6, and possibility of top 4 is laughed at.

We've got a terrifyingly weak squad at the minute. Can only assume with Knight sale that at least some signings are imminent. At present, have 5 defenders in the first team squad, and one of them is Bouma who's been injured for a year..

Dunno, but he'd be an excellent back up for Torres.
The lone role at Liverpool would suit him very well.

Lyon have reached an agreement to sign French international striker Bafetimbi Gomis on a five-year deal.
The 23-year-old is to make the switch from bitter rivals St Etienne for a sum of €15million (£12.8m).
Gomis will join the likes of Lisandro Lopez, Aly Cissokho and Michel Bastos, who have all agreed deals under coach Claude Puel.
Adding leverage to Lyon's attacking options, the young striker has been lined up to replace Karim Benzema who left for Real Madrid earlier this summer
"Everything has been finalised, it is a great thing," club official Bernard Lacombe told AFP.
"He will be a focal point for the attack which is important - 'Bafe' is a really exciting player."
A statement on Lyon's official website said: "The completion of this transfer is subject to the outcome of the medical examination the player will undergo in the coming days before signing a contract for five years with OL."

Stuttgart have further bolstered their ranks with the addition of Zenit St Petersburg striker Pavel Pogrebnyak.
The Russian front-man has passed a routine medical and joined the Bundesliga outfit for an undisclosed fee on a four-year contract.
Stuttgart general manager Horst Heldt has been charged with the task of replacing star player Mario Gomez, who has made the move to rivals Bayern Munich.
Alexander Hleb has rejoined the club on a season-long loan from Barcelona and now Pogrebnyak has arrived at the Gottlieb-Daimler Stadion.
Gomez replacement
"We are delighted that it has worked out," said Heldt.
"He fulfils precisely the profile that we were looking for. He is a target man, just like Mario Gomez."
Heldt denied reports that the 25-year-old had cost his side a third of the 30million euros they had earned from the sale of Gomez, saying the fee was "in the region of five million".
"We said that we would not do anything crazy," explained Heldt on DSF television.
"Pavel only had six months left on his contract so 10million would have clearly been too much."
Further additions
Since Stuttgart have managed to sign Pogrebnyak relatively cheaply, Heldt would not rule out making any more signings this summer.
"Theoretically, we could make some more additions," he said. "The window is open until the end of August and we will leave this opportunity open to us."
Pogrebnyak was heading back to Russia to obtain a work permit and he is due back in Germany on Monday, when he will be officially presented as a Stuttgart player.
