There's 18 hours to go. If it was a normal 12pm finish there'd have been no activity by 6am, so I think it's premature to declare it boring. Although it probably will be a dull one.

you don't have any players left to sell do you? Maybe Krul but there are different rules where goalkeepers are concerned.

No, we've been raping the championship with NO players, it's a true miracle.

And seem to be trying to rebuild Portsmouth team circa 2007...Campbell first, now linked with Kanu and Benjani Erm

Nicky Shorey going to Portsmouth on loan apparently.

Didnt realise Villa had loads of cover for their defence.

We don't really, although will be better if we sign Dunne and Collins today.

Bouma maybe, hopefully getting back in a month or two and we've signed Warnock. Also L.Young can play LB, so I suppose we're pretty well covered there without Shorey - got a feeling its more that Shorey fell out with MON after not being played much last season.

Collins has gone for sure Debaser. £5/6m. It was done last night. Just a medical to be done. It had to be him, Upson or Tomkins that went. So an easy decision really.

Got yourself a good defender. Good in the air, gets stuck in. Only problem is, he's injury prone and sometimes a bit clumsy. But other than that it's a very good signing.

Savio couldn't settle in London. Nothing to do with the league/move being too early. He didn't like living here, which is why the deal was permanent, and not a loan.

Cheers for update. it was sounding like it was pretty much sorted, minus medical...Same with Dunne.

Happy enough with Collins - I think Cuellar-Dunne will be first choice (Davies is probably going to get surgery on his shoulder which keeps dislocating), but it gives us good competition for the spots - let's face it, Dunne will be suspended every few matches for getting sent off Wink

He could work his way to become your first choice CB though. He's done that with us. Which is why his transfer fee is so high. Considering we paid about £3m for him. With Upson, Gabbidon, Tomkins and Da Costa...we are seen as having enough cover for that position. I still think it's a bad move for us. He's been playing well lately.

Savio moved too soon, he couldn't cope with the EPL and didn't really look anything special. Does this mean West Ham can sign Boom Chamakh?

Absolutely, I think our CB spots are up for grabs for whichever pairing works out best - we got 2 players coming in and neither Cuellar or Davies have established themselves enough to be undroppable. Plus, as I say, Davies may be out for a while.

Gabbidon was good for you a couple of years ago, how has he been since all his injuries?

I guess this is also good from perspective of giving Tomkins more chance - he looks v good prospect.

Tomkins can fill his boots easily. Definitely a class player, and looks like a veteran when he plays now.

Gabbidon has been doing well on his road back to recovery. If he can get anywhere near how he used to be, he'll be decent.

Apparently Saganowski's moving there from us as well (when he's supposedly been wanting to move to further his international chances)

He's put on weight and slowed down quite a bit in the last few years since he was banging them in in the Portuguese league and scoring about a goal a game for about 10 odd games in the c/ship, but still has a deceptively quick turn and is a good finisher. He should do well for them in league 2.

The last couple of deadline days have been pretty exciting if I remember rightly.

I've moaned twice in the last 24 hours? Is that "constantly" moaning? You're such a fucking woman sometimes with your smug criticisms and exaggerations. Bugger off and eat some sushi on toast on a park bench or whatever it is you do. <Ale>

And no, the last couple of deadline days have been rubbish.
