Mundo Deportivo had a "reconstruction" of the Laporta-Moratti meeting, where they stated that the two presidents discussed various possibilities such as:
- Straight up cash for Ibrahimovic, apparently Moratti asked for 50m
- Etoo + 30m for Ibrahimovic and Maxwell
- Etoo + 20m for Ibrahimovic
- Hleb ( ) , Toure ( ) also entered discussions
There was also one hitch in all this, which is assuming that Etoo would leave. Laporta admitted to Moratti that it would tough to make him do so, even to Inter.
So for now, I'm assuming Etoo will stay and we will look to get in another striker depending on budget.
There are only 3 clubs which could make a move for Ibra this summer IMO - Barca, Chelsea & Real.
Real are too busy with other targets, so I guess they will focus on Ibra only if they fail to land 2 of Kaka/CR/Ribery, if that indeed is their ambition. Chelsea is probably the most likely destination for Ibra, if he moves this summer. Mou is keen on some of their players, so its a possibility.... Barca, its a long shot. Unless Eto'o moves, I doubt this would happen.
Marca now saying that Etoo is demanding 13m per year and a 5 year contract (he's 28) from Inter
I think it's pretty clear what his intentions are...to leave on a free transfer next year when clubs will agree to pay those wages since there won't be a transfer fee.
(then again, you'd think that Inter might agree, since they're getting 20m to offset those wages against...and I'm sure Ibrahimovic is on massive wages already)
Anyway, his agent is in talks with Txiki as I write this (according to MD and SPORT), so we may know more later this afternoon.
