Congrats on Ronaldo. I must say, your club is the envy of the football world after plucking two of the most talented footballers in the world.
you mean one of the most talented and one of the most effective?
Fair enough.
I will say, however, that Kaka' was declining over the last two seasons. He is not the player he once was. Ronaldo, on the other hand, is a player that could have given United more.
No offense, but I think Kaka may have also been suffering from playing with a bunch of dinosaurs around him. I think that Kaka's poorer performances were also due to a lack of motivation, which I think he will get back when he goes to Real Madrid. He will also get more space with the ball in Spain, so we could witness Kaka taking his game to another level like Zizou did in his first 3 seasons in Spain.

Hmm...maybe. But I think you will see the problems I am talking about. After we won the Champions League in 2007, Kaka' was never the same player. The other thing is he has injury problems.
Even if Kaka' has a great season or two, by the time he is 30 I cannot see him maintain such a high standard.
Also, Pato, Ronaldinho, Pirlo (just turned 30) etc. are not dinosaurs. In defence you have a point, for sure!
I know you are really excited about your purchases, but before you pour scorn on Milan, look at what they've achieved in the last decade. Kaka' was playing in a highly successful team until 2008, which was outperforming many clubs in Europe. But his problem with injury and form started in 2007.
I wanted Kaka' to stay because he was the face of Milan and in the hope that he could regain for a season or two his old form.

The injuries are more of a concern for me than lack of motivation. I don't think you get to be a top footballer without it and so while he may have stagnated a couple of years, I would think a new challenge would resurrect any motivation he might have lost.

GODDAMN! Spain win the Euro '08 in style, Barcelona destroy the Mancs in CL Final leaving no doubt as to who's the best team in the world, and NOW La Liga via Real Madrid also have the #2 and #3 best players in the world in Kaká and Cristiano playing next season. HOLY MOLLY!
Has that happened before? one league having the 3 best players in the world at the same time? if we go players #4 and #5, #6 La Liga may have them too in Kun Agüero, Xavi and Iniesta! FFS!

Him alongside Platini, two teams doesnt make a league if you are going for which league is better.
Similarly, two players dont make a team, lets see if RM could get a decent team together or they will probably be knocked out again and probably have to watch either Barcelona or an English team win in CL final at their home.

No Fey, I don't think it's good for the game just look at the team who's doing all the buying, PURE EVIL. Barcelona winning EVERYTHING has rocked the madridismo to the core, and you can see that with their recent buys. They're pulling out all the stops to compete with the Barça machine. It's fucking insane Fey!

the largest part of our current success is based on our youth products as well as shrewdly purchased players for moderate amounts, similar to what many clubs in England spend, like Toure, Eto'o, Marquez, Abidal, etc. We are very different than this grotesque Madrid circus.

this is another board myth. How many other players would have his kind of record with such a negative midfield behind them? I'd back Ibrahimović to have the better season next year if the rumoured deal goes ahead.
