It really has Ray. I used to be a lone voice of anti-Arsenal-hype, whereas the Liverpool-Man U bitches have been at it since the pre 606 days.

this kind of hoo-ha is exactly why I'm hardly ever posting in the English league threads.

If someone mentions Song and Yaya in the same mould then no matter how they implied it they should know it will invite comments like it got. The comparison is so ridiculous

Good grief, I'm implying that they have similar build, how that can cause such a response is ridiculous. Not once have I been comparing how good one is to the other.

now, let's just forget about it, OK?
it is perfectly reasonable that Ray wants a certain player based on his built rather than footballing qualities.
let's just accept that and move on.

Your provocative comment is what is continuing this saga. The fact your trying to twist what I meant initially is pure evidence of this. When did I say I'd want a player just based on their build. Another attempt to have a sly dig with a sarcastic comment no-one is responding to.
Kevin was right anyway.
I will leave it there.

Re: Arsènal FC - 09/10 Season Thread
Got back from London today and I managed to catch Day 1 of the Emirates Cup in the Emirates Stadium. It was nice to go back as I was there last year as well for the Arsenal - Real Madrid game. Got to see Wilshire from up close as we had seats close to the front row and I was very impressed of course. I remember seeing him last year for about 20 minutes when he went in against Real Madrid where he also impressed. Not sure how good he will become as I don't take pre-season games very seriously but he was certainly a joy to watch. Every time he touched the ball the entire stadium held their breaths waiting for something special to happen, which is always a good sign.
Though I must say that I still don't understand how so many Arsenal supporters are content with having Bendtner in attack. Once again, Bendtner looked like a complete donkey out there, not doing anything right and making 0 good runs. The guy likes to stroll around the field and he never seems to be in the center forward position, so the opposition's defense isn't stretched. And when he received the ball deep in the field, he does nothing good with it, usually just passing it to the nearest player. Me and my friends kept laughing at how bad Bendtner was the entire game, we just couldn't believe this was the current star striker for Arsenal.
I know it's a pre-season game but this seems to be what he does in most games. I can't see Arsenal winning anything if they will rely on this guy to lead the forward line.

Re: Arsènal FC - 09/10 Season Thread
RVP and Eduardo are ahead of him
Thing with Bendtner is that he is not a traditional target man and does not run the line as well as someone like Adebayor. He is best when he is played with somebody else or coming from the right as he is quite good on the ball.
I was also at the Emirates Cup this weekend and he didn't play very well but I wouldn't read too much into it.

Surely they're more interest in Rosicky going AWOL. The very AUTHOR of this thread no longer exists. Arsenal are a shambles, both on the pitch and off it
