    The Dossier

    Pierre's Dossier 2009/2010 St_dossier

Liverpool and Man United have both had stonewall penalties given in their favour this season.

However I understand that last night Wayne Rooney (United's most influential player) escaped a red card ?

I say "I understand" because I didn't see it - even the state broadcaster is in on it Suspect

Was this incident worthy of being the opening case in this season's dossier ?

    * At the end of the season we'll get the dossier printed out and Glenn or someone can take copies to The Premier League headquarters and/or Scotland Yard.

So now we're taking rumoured possible red cards as incidents worthy of the dossier?

Tell me, will you be including the favouritism showed to Liverpool by referees in this season's dossier, so we can avoid the absurdities of last season?

Rooney will supply us with many more non red cards this season so we'll just have to focus on them

Can anyone contribute? I doubt it would have affected the game, but he is a c**t so I noticed him getting away with it.

Scholes should have been off for two yellow cards in the first game, clear lunge through the back of someone followed some time later by a clear pulling back of a player who looked like he was breaking away. Both times escaping a yellow card according to the rules.

I may be able to supply the times it happened and the players he did it to.

I think it should be a criteria, if you want an incident added to the list, that you have to provide a video clip of it. Otherwise it will just be COTR/Glenn/Pierre/110% on one side with Man Utd fans plus Saints on other side giving their own predetermined verdicts. Of course this is provided we actually want a real discussion and not just the one sided stuff we got last season.

    So far we have
    - Chelsea gaining an extra two points from a terrible ref decision when Mikel dived
    - Liverpool losing one point from the ref not giving Liverpool a penalty when Ekotto bundled Voronin over as he was clean through on goal.
    - Spurs gaining two points from the above decision

Voronin was about as far from the ball as anyone involved in that particular incident. Liverpool are doing alright, they don't need the Arsenal victim complex.

You are producing some strange logic over penalties these days Saints, totally contrary to the rules.

My view of that incident was a through ball was played that had Voronin running through on goal and competing with Ekotto. Instead of running towards the ball Ekotto decided to change direction and run directly into Voronin, knocking him over and denying a goal scoring chance.

You don't always have to have the football for a foul to be committed Saints

Let's stick to the realistic claims Lrd. Handballs from two yards do not count but if you want to count them the we'll take all three points from the Spurs game as it was a similar incident to the Bikey one

That won't work because some incidents are glossed over like the Rooney non-red yesterday. MOTD did not show it the way they don't show yellows against English players who dive. This makes it almost impossible to get footage.

It was a definite red. The contact wasn't so bad but there was full intent. He went at the player knowing he wasn't getting the ball. That's why you see someone saying it looked worse than it was. It was typical Rooney over-aggression due to frustration.

ok and someone questioned the possibility of Scholes missing out on dozens of yellows due to not playing so many games...
