Nailed on pen by Vidic on Gomez at 0-0 - our impartial commentator from our state broadcaster said something along the lines of "I doubt he'll even embarrass himself to appeal for that" Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

We couldn't see the Vidic - Rodallega incident clearly.

I have great eyesight but couldn't see it clearly enough to say Vidic did wrong yet our impartial commentator from our state broadcaster could see it more than clearly enough to tell us that Vidic had done nothing wrong.

MOTD's coverage of the Wigan game was bizarre i thought. The commentator seemed to think Scholes and Vidic lashing out was nothing, and actually pretended the Wigan players were in the wrong, but when Rodallega tried to brush the ref off it was an attempted elbow to the face. scratch

Scholes commited 2 yellow card fouls within a few minutes of picking up his first yellow (score was 0-0), see the MOTD highlights when TS posts them.

They showed Vidic punching Rodallega in the face but the critisism was directed at Rodallega's reaction Laugh

Eboue looked off-side in Arsenal's second goal. The movement was very fast, I would have liked to see MOTD do the last-man line by the idiots didn't...

It was 1-0 at that stage.

He wasn't, I did it in slow mo a few times he was actually level just after the ball had been played but it did look it at first glance.

Vidic was looking after his keeper who was attacked by that south american thug. foster is injury prone as it is, with the 1st choice keeper out don't need some plonker trying to injure the keeper when the ball is gone.

Attacked? he pulled out of the challenge, and barely made any contact...

Vidic was just unneccesarily throwing his weight around.

Off-side goal by Drogba, his head was just off-side.

The goal was scored when the match was 0-0.

Eduardo's dive tonight was disgusting and shameless, it also gives Vidic carte blanche to sodomise him relentlessly on Sunday while the referee turns a blind eye. I almost want it to happen.

The worst penalty I've seen in a long time.

But then, if the keeper comes off his line the player will fall down and most of the time the ref will give a penalty, regardless of anything else.

Nope : Rooney dived before the goalie touched him, the first foul is the one that counts.

But the ref didn't know that / couldn't see that coming : his decision not to give a penalty was ridiculous.

He anticipated what was coming but was clearly fouled. You're using a slow slow motion replay to analyze a very quick event. He must have been going down 0.5 secs b4 he was hit.

As I said in the matchday topic, I think Rooney dived. His legs buckled before there was any contact. If Almunia had been able to keep out of his way he would have been down without any contact. As it is, Almunia clattered into him, and as far as I'm concerned it's a clear penalty. It was stupid, reckless goalkeeping and it got what it deserved.

I was surprised that Keys ventured away from his usual non-controversial position to raise this very point, even though he was ignored by the rest of the studio.

Funny, when it's Gomes on a Liverpool player it is a 'stonewall' '100%' penalty, yet when a virtually identical incident happens with a Man U player people are going to stupid lengths to try to compare it with the Eduardo dive.

Arshavin's case probably would have been helped had Van Persie not dived twice only a minute earlier. Besides which, Fletcher was due a bit of luck with penalties against Arsenal.
