    Obsessed, he was nowhere near at fault for the goal. This is when agenda's get fucking desperate. He made a good save from the first shot, and you expect him to leap up like a cat and bound across the goal in a split second to save the other shot. Laughing

    There was a moment in the second half when he made a routine save against Rooney from a tight angle and the commentator started up the whole 'if there was one goalkeeper you'd want in that situation, it's Gibbon' fanfare.

    I know you think he is shit at everything, but most that have watched him regularly will say he is very good in one on one situations.

    As i've said before, you judge him by different standards. It was a close range shot, the only thing you do in that situation is get part of your body in the way and hope your defenders react quicker than their strikers.

    I don't think he's shit at everything. In the real world people aren't divided up into those who think Shay Given is among the top five goalkeepers in the world and those who think he's no better than Roy Carroll.

    However, he does get praised to the heavens for relatively routine goalkeeping, his mistakes are virtually never picked up (in the media) and he's nothing like one of the top five goalkeepers in the world.

    For the goal, he could have done better, but it's pretty harsh to blame him for it. It's not like the City defenders were doing much at the time.
