In classic armchair tactician mode I declared after five minutes that Fat Sam starting without a proper right sided midfielder was a powerful condemnation of Warnock's attacking threat on the overlap. Olsson's goal was brilliant, Nzonzi is stunningly limited, Jonathan Pearce is really really irritating. It's not like Lawro where you can just have a laugh at whatever he comes out with, he says everything with such conviction.

I agree that Villa are single-handedly turning the League Cup into the premier domestic cup competition

I also really enjoyed the Man City-Man Utd game!

In contrast, ITV seem obsessed with showing dour Liverpool games. Its slightly more interesting when they lose of course, but even then, I still feel like i need a long bath after watching them.

There's also something a bit more exciting about an evening kick-off for me - its the floodlights and the fact that 27% of the crowd are off their faces pissed.

Not to mention 50% of the pundits

Bollocks you were mate, you sang just after you scored but not for that long and then didnt hear a peep out out of you all during the second half.

Your away fans are generally not bad (as are most away fans) but at Old Trafford the atmosphere is terrible, its not even load on derby day the only ones that try to sing are the ones next tothe away fans. 3k of us normally outsing 73k so on wednesday 9k will do it no probs.

Not for this match thats for sure. Possibly v Arsenal if the FA decide to punish him. Though i think we'll appeal so he gets to play in that match.

I haven't seen even a whisper about Ferdinand being charged so it looks like he got away with it

Ferdinand is a class defender but im not concerned cos he likes passing to Petrov. If we can get the ball down the channels it'll be a good test to see how fit he is.
