Positively surprised by Ivory Coast. Looked well organised and the passing was fine until the last third. Kalou and Gervinho looked very dynamic. From the start of the second half and for 15 mins IC were in control and SGE timed it wrong with the sub on of Drogba because the momentum was just switching to Portugal and IC's midfield looked a bit tired so it was a shame that IC didn't have Drobga just when they were dominating. Good showing by them and I have more confidence in another African team going through now.
Will be interesting now because assuming that both Portugal and Ivory Coast beat N.Korea the result against Brazil might be important. If Brazil beat N.Korea and then beat IC they might be relax against Portugal which would be decisive for Portugal going through. So Ivory Coast should play a similar game against Brazil allthough perhaps more defensive.

Shame this was the first fixture, as it's likely that 2nd spot will be between these two, and it might've been an exciting do-or-die final group game.
Still, maybe Brazil will slip up vs Cote d'I and Portugal-Brazil will end up a qualification decider.

Let me get it across for you cos I majored in medical science in university. There is kind of nerve medically named transfered element rooted in human body whey you were born. Under certain circumstance, they can pass pain among different parts of your body.
Any question more?

Brasil strength this time is not great attacking players, but what is possibly the best defence in the world.
I know it but one can allways hope...
In reality i'm afraid CQ will do the same with our team. Replacing Nani with a defensive guy made me more suspicious.
Confirmed. No one was willing to attack. CR was alone, Liedson was alone...
Anyway, good play by Cote d'Ivoire, strong defence and fast transition.
Now i'm curious to see what Brasil will do with them. Playing defensive will not work.

To be honest I think too much is made of players who hold their hands to their faces because this doesn't necessarily mean they are doing it to make it look like he was hit in the head. I have often held my hands on my face if I got hurt.

Shows how pointless the FiFA world ranking really is. Portugal are ranked third (!), IC 27th.

Portugal and Holland are in third and fourth but of the big teams I would put them last in terms of who would win the World Cup.

Is it also possible that germanic nerves also pass pain to parts of the body when you are not even touching the body?

As robots, German players don't have nerves as we know them. But they may be programmed in such a way as to respond to non-existant stimuli at advantageous times

Why would they be Latin players?
As a matter of fact, all of human beings are related to it. Take a look at EPL, many footballers cover parts of body that are not involved when strugling for the goal.

In alll seriousness, please dont jump to the conclusion so early. NK ranked first in the qualfiication match. What is more, they get order from their toppes leaders that they will go to coal mine if they don't perform to the extent they should and have to. NK is purely socialist nation which make them well-disciplined.Personal show is prohibited or you will be shot dead.
For all the reasons above, they will go all out winning the game. This is not anythign like sensatinal hype.

I think Brasil will beat Portugal, but based on today's game I can see them struggling against Ivory Coast - they were looking very solid and there is a big potential between Drogba-Keita-Gervinho-Kalou, when (hopefully) Eriksson will drop Dindane. He will play probably only 3 of them, but they should do a job.
Also, Zokora was pretty good as a centre back, don't remember playing him there, only as right back.

To what extent personal show? I mean, if a NK player took a audacious shot from 30 yards and scored would that be seen as showing off and result in a death sentence?
Or would it be okay so long as he scored, but if he missed, he'd be a goner?
