Yes it was the same guy who should have got a yellow anyway. No way was this a foul, I think it was accidental as he was clearly looking the other way. I don't think it makes any difference to the match though, at 2-0 it's game over.
I am not so sure... a man down is a HUGE disadvantage, specially if goal difference can decide qualification....
The red card has ruined the game IMO, coz both the goals were against the run of play... Chile were doing well till then... now they don't stand a chance, and depend on Honduras getting some points off the Swiss...

Dunno. Europe had their big party some sixty years ago, now they can chill a bit.

Even if it had been intentional, I'm sure most Spanish fans would be pleased to see Torres getting a kicking !

Actually, you're right, I forgot that Chile are relying on goal difference. In that case it does make a difference.
Don't agree with your 2nd point though. "Red card has ruined the game" is one of the most inaccurate and tired cliches in football.
First off, a red card is to punish a player who is either playing dirty, or just incompetent at tackling, or cheating. So if someone is sent off, it doesn't ruin the game, it's a reflection that one team was inferior and/or unfair.
Second, a lot of times it doesn't affect the result. For example, the red card came when the goal had already gone in...do you really see Chile scoring 2 or more goals even with 11 men?
But yes, if we're just talking about qualification, then it does hurt Chile. Then again, I reckon the decisions have evened out because Ponce should have had 1 red and 2 orange cards by now.

Spain unimpressive, this performance is "typically Italian" but it won't be described that way.
Chile have lost their heads, and there was always the possiblity they would be a bit naive (they gifted Spain both their goals). Sending off was not correct IMO (accidental).

How on earth did they gift Spain the second goal Bubu ?
Sending off was correct, it just should have happened ten minutes earlier

Well, nice game so far. IMO the ref is a bit too rigorous calling every play with some friction a foul but can't really say he is wrong, just too hasty to call fouls and give cards away.
Too bad for Chile 'cause their style during the first 20 minutes is something that this Spain side isn't accustomed and even made them hoof the ball believe it or not.
Two stupid defensive mistakes by Chile and it's 2-0. That's the way it is against top sides, you can't afford to make mistakes.
