Too bad for Chile 'cause their style during the first 20 minutes is something that this Spain side isn't accustomed and even made them hoof the ball believe it or not. Shocked

Two stupid defensive mistakes by Chile and it's 2-0. That's the way it is against top sides, you can't afford to make mistakes.

Out of interest, do you wish Bielsa had another chance with Argentina at the WC?

not really, but i do like the guy very much.

Great goal by Chile...man the swiss really don't deserve to go through
    Why not then?

He is right. Chile would have seven points, Switzerland six, and Spain would be knocked out with four points.

It's amazing how Chile continue to press so early and aggressively, despite being one man less on the pitch. I always wondered if they could keep this up over 90 or even more minutes, and it seems like they can.

They play some very modern attacking football, Bielsa has done a great job.

A damn shame because they had some wonderful players as well. After that Bielsa could never recreate public backing he needed. Even after his great U-23 side won the Olympics he still felt too threatened.

On a serious note, Spain look more balanced and actually more attacking with Torres off the pitch. One less striker on the pitch does not have to mean less attacking clout, often to the contrary.
